Research shows that calming music significantly reduces stress in animals. It's Guy Fawkes tomorrow here in New Zealand, and our kitty cowers at the sound of the booms and cracks 😤 So when I heard on RNZ this morning that they were running a dedicated concert for animals, music to my ears. 🎉🐾 From a service design perspective, this initiative is brilliant. Here’s why it works: 🎶 Targeted experience: RNZ is addressing a specific need—helping animals feel safe and calm during a stressful time. By offering a dedicated concert, they’re creating an environment that caters specifically to pets’ anxieties. 🐕 Science-backed solutions: Research shows that calming music significantly reduces stress in animals. RNZ leverages this insight to create a soothing audio experience, which enhances the overall well-being of our pets. 🌟 Community connection: This event fosters a sense of community among pet owners. It’s not just about the music; it’s about bringing us together to support our furry friends, making us feel less alone during the festivities. Out of the box thinking 👏 Emotional connection we share with our pets 👏 Awareness of types of listeners 👏

🌟Imagine a table filled with laughter, stories, and favorite dishes, bringing together our cherished seniors and their families. As we plan a holiday-themed potluck, we create more than just a meal; we create memories. Here’s how to make it special: 1️⃣ Invite their favorite dishes: Encourage seniors to cook or bring their beloved recipes. It's about sharing their joy and traditions. 2️⃣ Create a storytelling corner: Set up a cozy spot for sharing stories. Listen to tales from the past and wisdom that never ages. 3️⃣ Community involvement: Reach out to local groups who can contribute music, decorations, or help with organizing. It's a community affair! 4️⃣ Safety first: Make sure the venue is accessible and comfortable. Consider everyone's needs. 5️⃣ Capture the moments: Take photos – they're perfect keepsakes for residents and families. At the heart of it, it's about making seniors feel valued and connected. Bringing together traditions and community is a gift like no other. How do you make holiday events special in your community? 🎉🎶

'What if we’re burnt out not because we’re doing too much, but because we’re doing too little of what lights us up?' This hit me hard. I’ve noticed I’m unstoppable when I’m doing something that excites me—something I naturally gravitate toward. But when I’m stuck doing things that don’t align with my interests, I shut down quickly, even if I’ve tried giving it my all. Burnout isn’t always about overwork; it’s often about misalignment. As I navigate the balance between pursuing my dreams and maintaining my well-being, I ask myself this question almost weekly: What lights me up? It’s a question worth asking yourself too. Because when you figure it out, everything changes.

At GxP Impact Consulting LLC., safety and community are core values in everything we do—including how we celebrate Halloween! One popular tradition we support is "Trunk-or-Treat," a safer and more convenient alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Here’s why it’s a great option for families: Why Trunk-or-Treat? 1. Safety First: With a controlled, well-lit environment, kids can enjoy Halloween without worrying about busy streets or unsafe conditions. 2. Convenience: Everything happens in one spot, making it easier for parents and allowing children to collect candy more efficiently. 3. Community Spirit: These events bring neighbors, families, and friends together, fostering a sense of connection and shared fun. 4. Inclusivity for All: Perfect for younger children or those with mobility issues, plus many events offer allergy-friendly treats. 5. Extended Fun: It’s more than just candy! Enjoy games, contests, music, and creatively decorated trunks that make the experience interactive and exciting. Whether you're choosing traditional trick-or-treating or opting for Trunk-or-Treat, the most important thing is that everyone stays safe and has fun. Happy Halloween from GxP Impact Consulting! 🎃 #TrunkOrTreat #HalloweenSafety #Community #GxPImpact #SafetyMatters

🎃 What We Can Learn About Community from "The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" 🎃 On this eve of Halloween, I'm reminded of the classic "The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"—a story that's more than just a holiday tradition; it’s a parable about community, belief, and the power of engagement. In the story, Linus passionately believes in the Great Pumpkin and dedicates his Halloween night to waiting in the pumpkin patch. While the world may not share his vision, he finds support and companionship with Sally. This small community, bound by shared experience and belief, creates a meaningful bond that transcends the outcome. Here's what associations can take from Linus's dedication: 🌱 Belief Creates Engagement: Linus’s belief, even when unpopular, inspires curiosity and commitment. Associations thrive when they foster a shared purpose and empower their members to engage fully, creating a community that believes in a shared vision. 🌱 Community is Built Through Shared Experiences: Just as Linus and Sally find comfort together in the pumpkin patch, association members build stronger relationships through shared challenges and experiences. It’s these individual moments that solidify the community. 🌱 Memorable Moments Bring Resilience: Just as Charlie Brown’s "All I got was a rock" moment became a classic, associations can turn unexpected or disappointing experiences into memorable, bonding moments. Not every engagement will lead to immediate success, but shared stories—good and bad—build a resilient and close-knit community. Sometimes, the moments that don’t go as planned bring people together the most. As we celebrate Halloween, let’s remember the importance of community and engagement. Together, our associations can foster spaces where belief and connection grow—no matter the outcome. 🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃 #Community #Engagement #Associations #Halloween #TheGreatPumpkin #CharlieBrown

🎶🐾 How Battersea Helped Dogs Stay Calm Over Bonfire Weekend🎇 As the Bonfire Weekend came to a close, I want to reflect on a heartwarming initiative by Battersea that made a real difference for thousands of dogs this weekend. 🐕💙 Understanding the anxiety that fireworks can cause for our furry friends, Battersea created a special playlist designed to help soothe dogs during the loudest nights of the year. From calming classical music to gentle sounds of nature, the playlist provided a much-needed sense of calm for dogs who might otherwise have been distressed by the sounds of fireworks. This thoughtful campaign was a perfect blend of marketing and social good – a way to use the power of music and compassion to raise awareness of the impact of fireworks on pets. Not only did it help reduce anxiety, but it also started important conversations about how we can better support pets during these noisy events. Let’s keep this momentum going, not just for one weekend, but year-round, supporting pets in ways that truly matter.✨ Link to the playlist: https://lnkd.in/gUxSKzsi #Battersea #BonfireNight #MarketingWithPurpose
