My main takeaway from this study: convenience drives compliance. Scheduling a mammogram along with an annual exam is easier for busy women. This is why we do what we do at Onsite Women's Health.
Only 17% of patients self-schedule mammograms, with preference for nights and weekends

Endometriosis Awareness Month 2024 Endometriosis impacts 1 in 10 women, yet so many are still unaware of the condition and its impact. In 2024, the focus is on raising vital awareness of the common symptoms of endometriosis. Improving general public awareness and understanding of the condition ensures that those experiencing symptoms, their friends and family and their healthcare team know to ask ‘could it be endometriosis?’, leading to more prompt diagnosis and access to care. March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, shining a light on a condition impacting millions of women worldwide. Originating in the 1980s, this initiative educates and supports those affected by endometriosis. This condition, characterized by tissue similar to uterine lining growing outside the womb, can cause debilitating pain, infertility, and other complications. Despite its prevalence, endometriosis often goes undiagnosed, leading to prolonged suffering. By raising awareness and advocating for better healthcare practices, we empower individuals to seek diagnosis, access treatment, and build supportive communities. Join us this month as we share facts and support the empowerment of women. #EndometriosisMonth #WomensHealth #Endometriosis #ReproductiveHealth #shechoosestoliveinitiative

Pelvic Organ Prolapse Awareness Month is just around the bend. Patients, practitioners, industry, please BANG the DRUM long and loud next month! APOPS established #POPAwarenessMonth in 2014 via Joint Resolution 71 with introductory efforts of Senators Lazich and Taylor, and cosponsored by Representatives Endsley, Skowronski, and Johnson. I remain so thankful for their engagement. If 1 in 2 women prevalence isn't enough to lift the veil on this common, cryptic women's health issue, I don't know what is. Here's a link to some tools to aid process. Keep it simple, every event matters! https://lnkd.in/eTAJvEpN Here's some suggestions to event types. https://lnkd.in/gTWppBAg #APOPS #womenshealthempowerment #TheBiggestSecretinWomensHealth

I am loving this new blog out by #notmywatch founder Rose L. Horton, MSM, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN. Read below to see what the 5 commitments the clinical team can adopt to change the narrative.

It's time to change how we approach women's healthcare. Women are a majority of healthcare consumers, yet their health needs are often neglected because of prevailing misconceptions that drive and compound health disparities. Join expert partner, Kara Marlatt, PhD, MPH, in Phoenix to discuss the business case to better support women’s health in both maternity care and beyond➡️http://spr.ly/6041lx0m3
