When we're trying to ban books from public libraries because they mention that some kids have two dads or two mums, you can see why days like IDAHOBIT are so necessary. The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia marks the day in 1990 that the WHO stopped classifying homosexuality as a mental disorder. Everyone loves cupcakes, so hopefully there's a rainbow morning tea in your workplace today. But cupcakes, not matter how delicious, aren't the same as meaningful change.
