📢 French Scholarships for Emerging Researchers in Environmental Studies: The MOPGA Program (https://lnkd.in/gKZjmiuC) 🌍 As a leading advocate in the fight against climate change and a key promoter of the Paris Agreement, France has launched the latest edition of the #MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program. This initiative aims to enhance scientific contributions to climate change challenges identified by the #COP. 🧑🔬Now in its eighth round, the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) program is selecting applications from at least 60 early-career researchers looking to conduct their work in France. The program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and managed by Campus France. The MOPGA 2025 Visiting Fellowship Program for Early Career Researchers will support research in the following areas: ✅ Earth systems ✅ Climate change and sustainability ✅ Energy transition ✅ Societal challenges related to environmental issues ✅ Human, animal, and ecosystem health through a "One Health" approach 📅 Deadline: 5 December 2024

NWO is developing a new Call for proposals for PhD scholarships for the Caribbean research community (ABC SSS citizens and diaspora). Are you interested in pursuing a PhD degree? Are you currently a PhD researcher or have you recently completed your PhD degree and have specific tips for us as to how we should best accommodate this opportunity? In that case we want to invite you to join us in a consultation session. Our intention is that the financial resources that will be made available through these PhD scholarships will optimally benefit researchers and institutions on the SSS ABC islands. That is why during the development and execution of this call for proposals, we seek to support and encourage ownership to stimulate opportunities for researchers and organisations on all six islands in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. During this session, we will shortly present our initial ideas for this Call for proposals based on a standard NWO call format. Information that you can expect to hear about are questions like: Who can submit? At which university can you conduct your research? What supervisors do you need? What is the timeline? We would like to invite you to reflect on this information with us. Do you see any practical obstacles for submitting that we have not yet taken into account? Deadline approaching! The CAORC Multi-Country Research Fellowship is accepting applications through December 5, 2024. This fellowship enables US scholars to carry out transnational research in countries across the network of Overseas Research Centers as well as provides flexibility to travel to other countries. The Multi-Country Research Fellowship has been running since 1993 and supports advanced research in the humanities, social sciences, and allied natural sciences for US doctoral candidates, who are 'all but dissertation', and US scholars who have earned their PhD or terminal degree. Scholars must carry out research in two or more countries outside the US, at least one of which must host a participating Overseas Research Center. Each award is $12,600. Launch new #Odysseus Call 2024 - Attracting top talent to Flanders Within the pillar of basic research The Research Foundation - Flanders (Research Foundation Flanders - FWO) recently launched a new #call of the Odysseus programme (deadline 30th of September 2024): The Odysseus programme provides outstanding #researchers who have built up a career outside Belgium, a start-up funding in order to develop or to set up a research line during a five-year period a #research group within a Flemish university, potentially in collaboration with (an)other Flemish research organisation(s), and become progressively more involved in the Flemish research landscape. What makes this programme unique is the combination of a position at a Flemish university and sufficient project funding to establish their own research team. This symbiosis forms the ideal starting point to attract high level, international research to Flanders.
