Meet the Mobilisation team at LRM Prime. We are a small but expertly dedicated team consisting of Jodie White as Director of New Business and Mobilisation, Anna Ross as Head of Mobilisation, Veronica Sorbello as Mobilisation Manager and Ashish Nandi as Acting Head of Mobilisation during maternity leave. Together, we make sure all LRM Prime projects kick off smoothly and efficiently by: - Preparing planning-related documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project timelines. - Consulting on specific design aspects of the building, with a focus on operational efficiency. - Creating set-up and service charge budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness for our residents. - Recruiting and assembling the necessary teams to ultimately deliver exceptional service to our future residents. At the start of each new scheme, we coordinate by establishing a structured plan, defining roles and timelines, and holding regular meetings to ensure smooth progress. Each team member takes responsibility for specific tasks, and our consistent collaboration maintains a unified approach to every project. As we approach Practical Completion, the Property Manager begins working with us about two months prior, gradually taking on operational responsibilities along with the General Manager, who also starts two to three months before completion. This phased approach ensures a smooth transition, allowing the mobilisation team to reduce involvement as the project stabilises and all handovers are completed. #Meettheteam #Mobilisation #PropertyManager #ResidentialManagement #PropertyServices #BuildingManagement #NewBusiness

My service line has radically shifted since joining Savills, where I have moved from doing the more reactive style Health Impact Assessment, to more proactive Health Intelligence and Healthy Urban Design Solutions to build health in. The range of health pathways you can explore and enhance are extensive, the health legacy is enduring, and the savings to the local authority and NHS for preventing, delaying and reducing the need for clinical intervention and social care is eyewatering. Just one example is how health and social care staff continue to struggle economically, with housing, with living and working conditions, and are increasingly leaving the sector. This risks the viability of frontline services critical to sustaining healthy, vibrant communities, and further increases the service cost, as demand outstrips supply. As planners, we cant do anything about public sector salary, but we can reduce overheads, improve working and living conditions and even help anchor critical care in communities through key worker homes. A horrible statistic is how only 1 out of 97 Local Authorities in London and the South East has housing that is affordable for a newly qualified nurse..! When exploring the housing mix, consider the inclusion of key worker homes.

That smile from my mum says it all... She is just casually reminded me to contact the council about tenants moving out... Yep, working with family has its perks. Business can be a lonely journey, which is why I'm grateful to have my mum by my side. She’s is good at handling everything from admin to finance - essentially, she’s the backbone of our operations. I find it interesting and I know there is so many people that could just not work with their family. Whats your thoughts on it all? #propertyportfolio #operations #btl

💭RETHINKING DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT IN REDBRIDGE The London Borough of Redbridge is a region of rapid growth, so a team of talented planners and placemakers able to do their best work is essential for the delivery of sustainable, successful developments. By focussing on leadership and wellbeing, Mondrem helped Redbridge’s DM team to increase productivity, creating extra capacity to deliver a faster, better service experience in the short term, and to make possible even better service in the long-term. When we began working with Redbridge in 2019, a backlog of over 1000 applications and excessive officer caseloads left the team feeling demoralised – with the high failure demand generated by customer complaints and queries, they were losing already scare capacity and had little hope that things could get better. During their improvement project, Redbridge's DM team discovered the importance of human-centred leadership for delivering great results – improving both wellbeing of planners and their productivity. By tracking outcomes, achievements, and professional satisfaction alongside long-standing measures like number of weeks and applications validated and determined, the team saw the value of their work. This in-turn improved Redbridge's workplace culture and planted belief that things should - and would - improve. With our help, Redbridge’s DM team also improved internal processes including re-organising their workload to prioritise 'quick wins', encouraging applicants regularly submitting poor-quality applications to do better, streamlining their validation checklists and developing an 'AI Validator' tool to minimise planners' administrative time. Releasing pressure on Redbridge's DM and supporting teams meant planners could showcase their talents, focussing on determining applications in-hand and spending more time delivering high-quality, impactful schemes. Between 2019 and 2021, Redbridge DM team reduced their backlog by 60% and officer caseloads by over 80%. With significant improvements to their validation and determination times, the team are increasingly known for compliments, rather than complaints. After working with us, Redbridge's planning service was awarded Public Sector Planning Team of the Year in the 2021 RTPI London Planning Awards and Best Council Services Team in the 2022 MJ Local Government Achievement Awards. The Future of Work in Our Cities This week there’s been much commentary on the work from home culture & it’s impact on cities. The big issue we’ve been considering is the role of the planner in activating our central business districts & preparing for the future of work. Planners are good at dealing with complex issues, & as with any good policy development process, we start by trying to understand the problem. Read bit.ly/3TEPUpN #NZplanning #NZPI #PlannersNZ
