I'm happy to share: Our #Process #Systems #Library hits the next milestone! We've invested many working hours into developing the Process Systems Library and are proud to release an updated version. We are now able to simulate all Power-to-X processes in #Modelica, starting from water electrolysis and carbon capture, up to the synthesis of more complex chemicals such as methane or methanol. The updated version 0.6.0 brings a huge number of new models and improvements and further increases the capabilities of the library. Within the new update, we introduced the possibility to discretize components, increased the numerical robustness of various models and added some new components, such as heat exchangers and membranes for gas separation. With these components, we can now simulate standard electrolysis processes (PEM, AEL, SOEC), as well as more complex ones (H2O2 electrosynthesis) or chemical processes such as the methane synthesis shown in the picture below.
