Innovation in TMR As Chief Engineer for TMR, Innovation is a subject that is close to my heart. It is critical that we continue to strive to find smarter and more effective ways to deliver our infrastructure program. At our recent Engineering, Innovation, and Technology Forum I had the pleasure of presenting on Innovation, and the challenges and opportunities in front of us. At TMR I believe we have achieved some great innovation wins, but there is always room to do even better. Our future will be built on the quality of innovations we identify, our openness to adopting new solutions, and our eagerness to partner with industry and academia. My presentation prompted some great conversations with colleagues across industry and has highlighted the need for me to share our approach to delivering innovation. I hope you can spare a few minutes to see a segment of my presentation, where I outline our new approach to innovation, one of clearer intent, deliberate action, and increased collaboration with industry.

PPWR & Green Deal: Did you know that from 2025, all deposit containers in reverse vending machines in Austria will (have to) be plated in the one-way deposit system? With my collection machines, it will also be possible to plate deposit containers at all small take-back points as soon as clear and forgery-proof recording is possible using a serialised 2D barcode on the deposit containers. It is also possible to use my collection machines in supermarkets as stand-by collection aids for invalid deposit containers to save space. The savings potential, especially when transporting the flattened deposit containers to the sorting systems, can be up to 70 %. The Best way to deal with these situations is to gradually to little parts of the idea whenever get the opportunity and ask them to try once , after the benefitted with your idea its easy to convey the other part of innovation idea.
