The last 6 years I've been working in the software world, impacting mostly Ag, Construction, material handling, and industrial spaces and typically there is a lag between what we see in automotive vs "off-highway". While final product capabilities might be different (and rightfully so based on needs and use cases) one thing is similar in that the development and production of these solutions requires intense engineering and simulation for greater efficiency gains, cost reduction, reduced time to market and improved product design/features.
