I spoke with Ajay Khanna earlier today and we quickly went through this demo. I was impressed for a few reasons that will be obvious once you watch the video. My biggest takeaway is around how they leveraged #AI to build this solution. Just to be clear, this is not an #AI solution by any means. Mezmo just found a smart way to leverage AI in the area where it is already proven, which is pattern recognition, and applied it to significantly improve value of the solution. One of the biggest push-backs for using AI for managing performance of digital services is - "yeah, but is it proven". And that's more than a valid point after "The Great #AIOps Disaster of 2020". So here's the thing: if you and I were to go into the archives of Zesco Limited, let’s say 25 years ago, to retrieve meeting minutes, I can guarantee you that we would find at least one set of minutes where our current predicament was discussed. It’s likely that possible solutions to avoid what we are experiencing were even proposed. The lesson here is, knowing about an issue and taking action to address it are two entirely different things.
