The Evolution of Art: From Brushstrokes to Pixels Art has evolved from traditional brushstrokes on canvas to the use of digital tools like graphic tablets and design software. Historically, artists relied on physical materials to express creativity, but with the rise of technology, digital art has opened up new possibilities for experimentation and innovation. Today, many artists blend traditional and digital methods, creating a hybrid that honors the past while embracing modern advancements. This evolution has expanded artistic boundaries, allowing for faster production and a wider global reach without replacing the value of traditional techniques.

If you consider yourself enthusiastic about #innovation, #technology, #art, and #design, regardless the field you are in, you might resonate with Rauschenberg’s words: “Nearly everything that I’ve done was to see #WhatWouldHappen if I this instead of that”. By posing the question “what would happen?”, Rauschenberg teamed up with Bell Labs engineers in the 1960s to establish #Experiments in #Art and #Technology (E.A.T.). People back then would not imagine using transistors, radios, and hardware to push the boundaries of art. But these #innovators did. What do you think? Do you #identify with them? How frequently do you and your #team consider "#WhatIf" scenarios? How do your #colleagues and #clients react when you ask “what would happen if”?

Renaud recently visited Japan and went to an art exhibition. This artist made extremely small but realistic little homes (you can compare them with the size of the electric plug). There's an interesting parallel between the effort it takes to make such an intricate exhibit and what it takes to make a look-like prototype. When we have to prepare a look-like prototype for clients, it is often basically a kind of work of art, and if the prototypes need to be very nice it can take 10 times more hours as well as far more material to get the prototype to where it needs to be (since there is a trial & error process and we have to discard a lot of bad pieces). Have you had this experience when prototyping? Get in touch if you'd like to discuss your product. So much about the world is magnified by the art world: the way we judge quality, the extreme wealth disparities, and the power of gatekeepers. The decisions that shape an artwork are all the decisions that shape us: what we define as art, who can make art, and why should we bother to engage with it? https://lnkd.in/dtadPKJe

We deal exclusively with green-chip art. In the art world today, we use terms like "blue-chip art" and "red-chip art" to classify artworks. However none of these categories capture the segment of the art market we obsess over, which perhaps speaks to the wider problems within the art market that we are addressing. Explore this new category of green-chip art we work with, and learn more about blue-chip and red-chip art in our latest blog post here: https://lnkd.in/gNYmP3vi In summary: "Blue-chip art" refers to works by established, highly recognised artists with a proven track record of significant sales and high market value, think Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol, and Jeff Koons. "Red-chip art" describes emerging or mid-career artists gaining recognition and popularity, with the potential to become blue-chip artists, think Dana Schutz, Salman Toor, and Ayako Rokkaku. "Green-chip art" focuses on art in the secondary market to be rediscovered and recirculated. These works, produced by a wide range of artists, offer seasoned and new collectors the chance to uncover investment-grade gems in private collections. - By fostering a circular art ecosystem, we hope to give meaning to art again - art otherwise hidden and undiscovered in the homes of private collectors. Tell us what you think about the green-chip art segment. #GreenChipArt #ArtAgain #ArtMarketplace #ArtMarket #ArtCollection #SecondaryMarket #ArtIndustry #ArtCollector #ArtInvestment #ContemporaryArt #ArtBlog #Brat #BratAgain
