Part 3 of a 3 part series that goes behind-the-scenes with Lux Machina, exploring the innovations of Virtual Production in the creation of Apple TV+ Masters of the Air. In this final episode of Virtual Skies: we look at the tools of the trade. On designing LED screen slates, proprietary colour science calibration, creating new toolsets for #unrealengine from a light card to a "flak spawner" (you heard it heard first folks!) . Why Masters of the Air "would not have been as successful or maybe even possible, without the Sony Rialto". On powering everything with Lux ARCA and creating A & B render systems to always be ready for the next scene. The team spilling the technical knowledge beans are: Philip Galler, Will Newman, Cameron Bishop, Jason Bayever, Nicholas Bennett and Rowan Pitts. Created in collaboration with Sony | Professional Europe and Bild Studios / MARS Volume Produced by: Jake Alexander and Kyle Olson. Edited by: Alex Hendriks Shot by: Jack Dartford (UK) & Poom Wattanapan (USA) Learn more about Lux ARCA https://lnkd.in/g3BwvJpE Learn more about Sony Rialto Extension System: https://lnkd.in/eD28CZmZ

How sound interacts with different surfaces? Check out this experiment where I was to visualize the sound reflections off rocks on the beach. I positioned a speaker generating white noise toward the uneven surface of the rock and visualized the reflections with my device. One of my favorite capabilities of acoustic cameras is their ability to make sound reflections visible, turning abstract concepts into real visual experiences. The camera captures the sound waves as they bounce off at various angles, providing real-time visualization of sound behavior. By observing these reflections, we can gain a deeper understanding of how sound behaves in different scenarios. #postsbydaniel #sounddesign #acoustics #scienceexperiments

The multiple award winning L-Acoustics Xi Series. 6” & 8” Coaxial Point Source Loudspeakers, perfect for Home Cinema. Wide sound dispersion provides a more uniform sound field which enhances the listening experience. The alignment of the drivers provides better sound imaging reducing the interference between them resulting in clearer more accurate sound reproduction. The X6i Preset offers a frequency response of 69Hz to 20kHz with a Max SPL of 123dB whereas the X6i_50 Preset gives 54Hz to 20kHz at 117dB. The X8i Preset offers a frequency response of 67Hz to 20kHz with Max SPL of 129dB whereas the X8i_40 Preset gives 43Hz to 20kHz at 123dB. This flexibility ensures you always have the right solution for the application.

You know, despite all the articles I've covered on Cinemachine and it's different camera types and functions, I've never gone over anything about the Cinemachine brain. Which is by far the most important thing for a virtual camera. So today, I will share my findings of custom transition blends. #unity #gamedev #cinemachine #unitydeveloper #gamedeveloper
