IT major Infosys is partnering with Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar to establish a global technology hub in Bengaluru. This collaboration focuses on in-car infotainment, software development, electrical/electronics engineering, user experience, and cloud-powered digital services for Polestar. The tech hub will manage electric vehicle software development across multiple domains, such as infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and telematics. Its goal is to improve product management, customer engagement, and corporate solutions, while accelerating direct-to-consumer digital services through cloud-native development and data engineering. Infosys will also leverage its recent acquisition of engineering R&D services provider in-tech to support this initiative. Polestar’s Head of Software, Sven Bauer, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting its potential to enhance automotive capabilities and facilitate upcoming model launches.
