Lyft’s Post

Lyft reposted this

A lot of great results from Lyft's Q3 earnings last week, but I particularly want to shout out drivers for being a key part of our success. Drivers, I promise we're listening, and we're committed to doing all we can to help you earn more with Lyft. Dive into the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gWPDudJu

Can you please stop 3 dollar Rides and put a floor at 5 bucks for drivers. Also reduce waiting time for free to 2 minutes from five ways way to make more money, drivers are working for free waiting all day

😡Now, the matter of renting from Lyft Flexdrive. You can rent when you don't have a car. I was without a car for a while so I tried it out. They told me I could pay up front when I rented the car. $238/week and if I used the car while not on the rideshare app, I would be charged $20 for every 20 mile "block". (You can pay extra for personal miles) $50 deposit for the rental. At the end of the week when I paid in full, it was $270 because of some fees. I was told by a Flexdrive employee I could pay in advance for the rental. When I called the online number which I was instructed to do by that particular employee because he said I could pay in advance online, the online customer service rep said there's no way to pay in advance. So this is how it plays out: you pay for the rental on the car as you're doing rides. Lyft keeps about 65 to 70% of all the rides from what I could tell. It takes a couple days to make the $270, (because Lyft sucks and keeps so much of each fare)...so you are doing rides for Lyft basically for free in order to pay for your rental. So you are literally spinning your wheels for HOURS of your time. WHAT A FARCE!!! Also including a screenshot of one of their suck ass fares that I declined!

Mr. Risher, I had a commercial job in Irving, which is outside of Dallas, this past July. I got there the night before so I could be there for the job the next day bright and early. I decided to work Lyft the night before to try to make some extra money. Most of the rides that came up that night would have cost me money to take. I was in Irving, mind you, right outside of Dallas, and a ride came up for $32.16. I was to pick up somebody 20 minutes away, then drive them to Wichita falls which was 2 hours and 3 minutes away. Of course, I would have to come back to Irving because I had a job there the next day. That would be four and a half hours of driving. The $32 wouldn't even have covered the gas needed to accept the ride. I remember saying out loud to myself right in the car, "Who the hell does Lyft think they are?!" I was so disgusted. I have recently stopped working for Lyft. (Uber too. They're just as bad.) There are some other big problems with Lyft that you are aware of, but, honestly, I don't think you or the higher-ups care one bit. I screenshot the ride because I could not believe what I was seeing. And I needed to get the evidence because my children and friends would not have believed me otherwise! I'll include it.

I’m extremely disappointed with Lyft’s customer support. It’s been nearly 20 days since they deactivated my account without any clear reason, and despite sending all the requested documents multiple times, I still haven’t received a proper response. The support team’s attitude feels disrespectful; not only are they unhelpful, but they’re also not even responding. Does Lyft care about its drivers and their issues? #PoorSupport #LyftDriver #RespectDrivers

Dear Mr. David Risher I hope you’re well. I’d like to connect about potential opportunities for Lyft to expand in Kuwait and the GCC region, where demand for advanced transport solutions is on the rise. If you’re interested, I’d be glad to share insights on the market here. Thank you, and I look forward to your thoughts. Best regards, Adel

If Lyft keeps using algorithmic "fee" practices that cost the customer extra and short the drivers, losses will continue. If Lyft thinks the passengers and drivers don't talk, you are sorely mistaken. It's becoming widely known that high demand areas cost 2-10x more for a ride, but the drivers pay increase is marginal. All drivers double-app and most riders do too, Lyft has to let a little piece of pie go to get a larger piece of the rideshare customer base. Make your bed, Mister!

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, Mr Risher. For real. Blah blah blah blah blah. I'm actually an educated person. I have a Bachelor of Science, but when I think about Lyft I just blah blah blah blah blah in a very unsophisticated manner, much the same way as you blah blah blah blah blah.
