It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it 🤍 Being a dog rescue does not mean cuddling cute puppies all day (although there are times for that)! There’s a lot that goes into saving lives behind the scene that often take months-a year of planning to save each life. Our team is human and we will never get used to seeing dogs go through tough times. Ongoing support from you all truly makes all the difference in the world for dogs, and for us. Help dog rescues whenever you can. There is something everyone can do! How you can help: -Set up a monthly donation (link in bio) -Donate kibble. This is a never ending need! 🙅♀️🐾 This Dog Bite Prevention Week, let's empower our children with the knowledge they need to stay safe around dogs. Remind them to never kiss a dog on the face, never disturb a dog who is eating or sleeping, and never tease or approach a dog without permission. If encountering a stray dog, teach your kids to "be a log, lie like a log, or stand like a tree" to avoid triggering fear or aggression. By instilling these simple guidelines, we can prevent dog bites and foster positive relationships between kids and pets. A few years ago as I stood at my white board writing down business goals, the very first one was giving 10% of any coaching earnings to animal charities. There are so many good people helping animals who can't help themselves. Amazing how far a small amount of kindness goes. In Aruba, there are stray dogs everywhere. This is my first time down here in the summer/fall months. It is significantly hotter than the Decembrer/January/February months I am used to. It is difficult seeing these dogs in the heat without food and/or water. I contacted a few local shelters to see how I could help. I ended up with a foster dog for about a month. Just got him yesterday. His name is Buzz. It is a bit of an adjustment for him as I don't think he has spent any time indoors. It is always nice to be able to give back and make a difference in the lives of animals. It has always been a big part of who I am. Today, we’re remembering Vinnie, a beloved Police Scotland dog who served from 2012 to 2019. Vinnie wasn’t just a police dog; he was a loyal partner, a friend, and a true hero. His handler wrote a heartfelt poem in Vinnie’s honour when he passed away in 2019, which you’ll hear in this tribute video—a fitting farewell to a companion who gave so much in his years of service. This isn’t just about saying goodbye to one special dog. Vinnie’s story reflects the dedication and courage of service dogs everywhere. These animals work alongside officers, protecting communities and keeping us safe. When they retire, the NFRSA steps in, providing the care and dignity they deserve after such brave service by assisting with medical and vets bills. If there is any way for a horse to find trouble, they will do it. They can also find ways to escape and disappear. If this happens, what steps can you take to find them quickly? And if you don't, what do you do next? Horses can be notorious for finding trouble and disappearing. If your horse goes missing, it's essential to act fast to locate them. You can start by searching the surrounding area and asking neighboring horse owners for any sightings. You can also post flyers with detailed descriptions and pictures of your horse. If you're still unable to find your horse, don't hesitate to report them missing to your local animal control, police department, or sheriff's office. They can help spread the word and increase the chances of finding your horse. Additionally, file a report with Stolen Horse International, NetPosse, the only nonprofit organization in the USA with 27 years of experience, to provide more exposure. We are not just a Facebook page. Remember that time is of the essence in these situations, so don't delay in taking action. You can increase the likelihood of locating your missing horse with a quick response and the right resources.

📢 🐶𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁: A free disaster relief plan for pets launched today in Florida.🐶📢 Nonprofit animal rescue 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽 and pet collar tech company 𝗙𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 are offering the program, which comes with a smart tag. Owners who sign up get real-time SMS text message alerts during storms with resources for people and pets and a "𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸" before storms. Additionally, they get a free pet tag engraved with the pet's name and unique pet ID number, which links to FidoAlert's nationwide database to help reunite lost pets with their owners. Every member of the alert network within a few miles can get a text alert if a pet goes missing. When feds bust dogfighters, they're charged with "conspiracy." The ASPCA, the Humane Society of the United States and Best Friends Animal Society, which is a front for dogfighters, are all part of that conspiracy. Don't believe that? Here's just one example: National Dog Fighting Awareness Day is Monday, April 8. Last week, police/feds took 100+ pitbulls from eight New Jersey dogfighters, 78 pitbulls from Alabama dogfighter Carlton Adams and 73 pitbulls from California dogfighter Jorge Ayala's property. New Jersey dogfighter Bruce Low Jr. and his family/friends had been investigated since "late 2021," per 6abc-dot-com; Alabama dogfighter Carlton Adams had been investigated since September 2023, per AL-dot-com; and California dogfighter Jorge Ayala, whose "whereabouts are unknown," per NBC Bay Area, had been investigated since "early March." If you think it's a coincidence that feds decided to swoop in and rescue all these "poor, poor dogs" a few days before National Dog Fighting Awareness Day, please do not vote in the upcoming presidential election.
