It's been five years since Tessa Vergeynst joined Möbius! Tessa's journey with us began as a summer intern in 2018, and by 2019, she had officially become a member of our team. 🌱 During those five years, she has successfully taken on dozens of projects as a business consultant and project manager, specialising in double materiality analysis, CSRD reporting, climate strategy, and change management. Her commitment to advancing sustainability goes beyond client work. As our internal ESG Manager, Tessa shapes Möbius' own sustainability strategy and reporting. Tessa, thank you for your dedication, your insight, and your passion for creating real change. We’re grateful to be part of your journey. 🌍✨ Möbius Circular Economy & Sustainability #WorkAnniversary #SustainabilityImpact #MöbiusMoments

🌍 Last weekend, I hosted a panel at Earthfest on the importance of diversity and inclusion in the sustainability space. I was joined by three inspiring panellists who are all pushing boundaries and driving impactful change around accessibility and inclusion in sustainability: ⭐️ Hana Sutch - Go Jauntly - a walking and wayfinding app ⭐️ Chris Desai - UEARTH® 2050, UOCEAN® 2050, The VAYYU Foundation® ⭐️ Jean-Claude - Lionbeat Here are our key takeaways from the discussion: 🎤 AMPLIFY DIVERSE VOICES. White wealthy individuals still own the narrative within the sustainability sector, so in order to build a sustainable future for us all, we need to champion and amplify diverse voices. 💸 FUND UNDERREPRESENTED INNOVATORS. If you’re not a white wealthy innovator, you have to work much harder to get your initiative resourced and scaled, mainly due to bias in the sector. When these initiatives are properly resourced, they have the power to make impactful sustainable changes for communities globally. 🔑 COLLABORATION IS KEY. Working with a diverse range of individuals and communities provides us with wider pools of knowledge and more innovative solutions when tackling the climate crisis and building a sustainable future for everyone. Check out some of the highlights from our panel discussion in this video 🎥

The enterprises are key to deal with climate change and work for social inclusion. It can be through a powerful CSR or ESG policy (triple bottom line - people, planet and profit) or even better: as a social enterprise. Today we had a very inspiring meeting with Jose Vicente from Solteco undefined an amazing enterprise that has been recycling plastics for more than 20 years. It will be our privilege to work and learn with them. At our job inclusion project with talented young people E-GreenSocialDesign Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC) with Calldetenes City Council. We are recycling plastics and converting them into products for landscaping and interiorism. A late (and blurry) appreciation post for Purposefest 2024 by The Crowd. I've never been to a conference in a beer garden before, but I definitely would again! It created an atmosphere of relaxed and candid exchange which is a great contrast to the restrained nature of most sustainability events. A couple of points worth sharing: 🟡 How do we enable the changemakers within companies to manage the reporting burden and still have enough energy to drive real change within their organisations? We discussed the importance of proving the relationships between metrics and impact, and boiling it all down to one or two metrics which encapsulate the change that people want to drive internally. 🟡 More 'centrist' communications around polarising issues land better across the opinion spectrum! This research by Revolt will be helpful for firms looking to carefully navigate thorny issues - I just hope that it doesn't encourage a lack of boldness in those firms which are better positioned to take a stand on key issues. All in, a great day made even better by good conversation with Rishi Madlani, Pendragon Stuart, Karen Hamilton, Dominic White, and many others. Thank you all for your time! I'm sure you can tell by the quality of this picture that I was way too engaged to worry about taking good snaps for LinkedIn.

“I've got to nominate Amanda Farren for the incredible job she’s done with our sustainability initiative at Consensus. Not only has she pushed us all to think greener and be more eco-friendly, but she’s also the brain behind our awesome sustainability branding. Her work has seriously cut down our environmental impact and made sustainability a big part of who we are as a company. Amanda's approach isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about making real change and showing everyone in our industry how it’s done. Her passion and the results she’s achieved are nothing short of inspiring. Amanda’s the real deal in leading us toward a greener future, and her efforts are something we’re all super proud of.” *Wipes away the snot and blubber* What an honour to have won The Sustainability Leader Award sponsored by Octopus Networks Ltd and presented by the wonderful Kevin Watts. I cannot wait to share more about what we’re doing to build a more sustainable future at Consensus very soon. But for now… 🧡 I’d like to thank my mum, for telling me I am amazing and beautiful so often as a wee one, I still believe it today 😂 💚 I’d like to thank my kids for existing, which led me down this unexpected career path. 💙 I’d like to thank my partner for pretending to listen to my wild ideas and saying they’re great (and for putting my trophy on the mantlepiece). 💛 I’d like to thank my Consensus colleagues for letting me roll with the punches and always believing in me - with a special shout out to Paula Keys 💜 And I’d like to thank our amazing Rhys Hughes for the nomination. You made my day 🐠, my week, and my year. Because when you surround yourself with the right people, who build you up and don’t tear you down – who have so much confidence in you that you’ll never doubt it yourself - that’s when the magic happens, folks. One great human at a time. #SustainabilityLeader #OneStepAtATime #TeamConsensus
