Digital modernization is a key component of the Army's modernization strategy. It enhances operational efficiency, decision-making, and security. For example, the U.S. Army's efforts to modernize its electromagnetic warfare and spectrum management capabilities through the EWPMT-X pilot program demonstrate the importance of digital transformation in maintaining a competitive edge.
Great conversation with General James Mingus, Vice Chief of Staff of the US Army, on the Army's digital modernization efforts during this decisive decade. Watch our fireside chat at Applied Intuition's Nexus 2024: https://lnkd.in/etiPhU98

Part of the research I am conducting for my book on the 8th Infantry Regiment of the Illinois National Guard (370th Infantry Regiment) is on the history of the National Guard. This part of the research has been fascinating. From learning about the first three regiments formed during the colonial period to the various Militia and National Defense Acts that helped to shape the Guard into what it is today, it has truly been eye opening. If I may say so myself, it is one of the most interesting chapters in the book.

Today is launch day for Army 250. This is a citizen-led project I started to encourage communities, institutions, and individual Americans to engage with the story of the U.S. Army as we approach its 250th birthday in 2025. Every week we'll be sharing a newsletter that lifts up different dimensions in how the Army has influenced American life and society. This will include military campaigns and stories of American soldiers throughout our history, but it will also look at the connections between the Army and facets of American life seemingly far removed from the battlefield: food, fashion, music, literature, religion, business, civil society, and so many other domains have Army stories. This makes the Army's story relevant and personal for all Americans, irrespective of one's direct connection to the service. You can access the newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/eTG56_xG This effort is intended to complement and support the incredible initiatives underway led by the US Army, the National Museum of the US Army, the Association of the United States Army - AUSA, and the US Army Center of Military History, among other institutions. Please share with anyone you think would be interested in this, and if you'd like to contribute to this project, please send me a message! #army250 #us250 #army #veterans #

In a powerful session, Michael Wang shared his journey—from his time as a U.S. Army Green Beret in Afghanistan to founding a fast-growing tech company in senior living. His stories of resilience and purpose gave us a unique perspective on how military values shape his innovative approach to senior care. Answering this mornings post from our Regimental Chief Warrant Officer (RCWO) CW5 Willie Gadsden Jr, LSSMBB As we start this new week, let’s focus on what we can achieve together. Each of us brings unique strengths and skills that, when combined, make us unstoppable. Remember, every goal we set isn’t just an individual milestone; it’s part of the greater success we’re all working towards. Let’s approach this week with dedication, resilience, and a sense of unity. Lift each other up, celebrate the small wins, and don’t hesitate to lean on one another when challenges arise. The road ahead may have obstacles, but together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish. How did I get after this? While deployed to Europe supporting our European Allies and Partners is a benefit I get to see very closely. I had a great conversation with Polish Lieutenant on how partners within the Polish Div share understanding over a map and the benefit of having both digital and physical maps. 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Army US Army Corps of Engineers 36th Engineer Brigade, U.S. Army #bustingcapsandmakingmaps #firsttoknowwithmaps #essayons #firstteam

And production is full speed ahead. BZ
This week the @NorthropGrumman #IBCS team hit another important milestone for the U.S. Army when they delivered the first production Engagement Operations Center (EOC). The EOC is the brains of IBCS and empowers warfighters to orchestrate actions and make faster decisions across the multidomain battlespace. @FrankLozano, as you said, our soldiers deserve the best. And we are giving it to them! #DefiningPossible
