We are delighted to announce the line-up of expert panellists who will be joining us at the upcoming ROMULUS launch event with City of London Corporation and UPCYCLEA to talk more about this groundbreaking initiative, designed to create public-private partnerships to stimulate a circular economy market in the capital. Opening the event will be: Shravan Joshi MBE - Chairman of the Planning & Transportation Committee & Member of the Policy and Resources Committee Shravan started his career in investment banking but moved to the energy sector in 1999. He specialised in trade structuring and supply chain contracts into Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the Far East and North America and has worked with several new energy technology companies. He currently advises firms on policy, governance and commercialisation of new innovations and solutions. Taking centre stage will be: Mete Coban MBE - Deputy Mayor of London for Energy and Environment Deputy Mayor since July 2024, Mete oversees the Mayor’s world-leading climate action plan for the capital. Previously Councillor and Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Environment, and Transport in the London Borough of Hackney, Mete is best known for pioneering Hackney’s Community Energy Fund and delivering a £61 million Green New Deal to tackle the climate crisis. María Fernández Cachafeiro - Head of Sustainability, Multiplex UK With over 15 years’ experience within the built environment sector, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and key insights on environmental and social sustainability from her involvement in delivering Multiplex’s 2023 strategies on decarbonisation and social equity. Justin Sayer - Associate Director, Eric Parry Architects Justin brings a brilliant awareness and sensitivity around the impact of construction on the environment, and is part of EPA’s practice leadership group guiding the office in its response to the challenges caused by climate change. Eric Allodi - Co-Founder, UPCYCLEA Eric is passionate about the decarbonisation and circular management of real estate assets – having recently used his specialist skills in AI to create Upcyclea, a future-focused software designed to maximise reuse and promote circular buildings. Nils Rage - Head of ESG, Stanhope PLC Nils has a comprehensive understanding on the best ways to implement sustainability across all aspects of project development (from initial design to asset management and future investments) and leads Stanhope’s ESG strategy.
