Reports can be boring and hard to read - but not if the information is well structured and elegantly designed. We do more than design visuals. We help to manage the way that people connect with information. We drew on innovation, problem solving, team work and UX/UI skills to interpret and present data in this report. To achieve this, we brought together a range of tools including Microsoft 365, Flourish , Squarespace and - mainly - our own creativity. Thanks for partnering with us Labour Together, Cam Vargas, Morgan Wild and to The Guardian for directing your readers to it. A Nielsen Norman study, "Helping Users Make Decisions" states that "if options are similar, it will be hard for people to tell the difference. People tend to make decisions based on differences they notice and understand." I learned this during an A/B test where changing a button’s text to “Request Info” resulted in 40 fewer clicks and a 2.7% drop in conversions. The issue? A similar "Request Info" section was placed just above the button, creating confusion and likely impacting the results. Key Takeaways: 1. Avoid Similar Options: Bombarding users with multiple and similar CTAs can reduce conversions. Too many similar choices make it harder for users to decide. 2. Differentiation Is Key: Ensure each option on a webpage is distinct in size, design, and labeling. This reduces cognitive load and guides users more effectively. In conclusion, avoiding similar options on a webpage can help improve user conversions. #UserExperience #UXDesign #A_BTesting #ConversionOptimization #DigitalMarketing #CognitiveLoad #CTAOptimization #WebDesignTips #CustomerJourney #DecisionMaking #MarketingStrategy #UserBehavior #DigitalStrategy #ConversionRate #DesignThinking #MarketingInsights #DataDrivenMarketing #UserJourney
