𝐃𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐢 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥! Who else can relate to this feeling? After all the festive joy – the lights, the sweets, the decorations, the gifts, and the warmth of reconnecting with family and friends – getting back to the regular routine feels challenging. Even posting on LinkedIn took a little extra push today! But when I finally sat down to write, my first thought was, naturally, #Diwali 😊 One part of Diwali that I especially love is the brand advertisements. Certain campaigns manage to capture the spirit of the festival beautifully, and some stand the test of time. A few favorites that still stick with me are: 1. Cadbury's Campaigns – Promoting local businesses with technology. These ads still make an impression. Check them out: https://lnkd.in/gsSFYXWq https://lnkd.in/gUQzHEzx 2. HP's "Diye Se Diya Jalao" – and the heartwarming “Amma Ki Diwali Happy Banao.” https://lnkd.in/gFgtZiuG https://lnkd.in/g7F_Hi9t 3. Google's Cross-Border Reunion – An emotional reunion that tugs at the heartstrings. Watch it here https://lnkd.in/gVUG7fer Though I didn’t follow all the Diwali ads this year, a few campaigns still caught my eye: · One plus India https://lnkd.in/gZFj8wS2 · Vivo https://lnkd.in/gA4KrpZm What Diwali ad stood out to you this year? Share your favorites (and the link!) in the comments. Looking forward to seeing what resonated with you. Hope everyone had a wonderful Diwali! 🌟✨ #MMMusings #FestivalHangover #FestiveAdvertising #DiwaliCampaigns #Advertisingcampaigns #Marketing #MemorableAds #BrandStorytelling

Picture this: Diwali is around the corner, and my social media feed is a battlefield of brands vying for my attention (and my hard-earned cash). Flashy ads, emotional appeals, discounts that seem too good to be true... it's a marketing maze designed to make me click "buy now" before I can even say "Happy Diwali!" Here's the truth: festivals have become a prime opportunity for brands to exploit our emotions and loosen our purse strings. Nostalgia, family values, the desire to indulge... they're all weapons in the marketing arsenal. Enjoy the festivities, but don't fall prey to clever marketing tactics. Set a budget, prioritize your needs, and don't be swayed by emotional appeals or "limited-time" offers. Remember, the true spirit of the festival lies in celebrating with loved ones, not accumulating a mountain of stuff you don't need. Let's be conscious consumers this festive season. Support brands that align with your values, prioritize quality over quantity, and remember that experiences and meaningful connections are far more valuable than material possessions. After all, the best Diwali gifts are often the ones that money can't buy. 😉 #Diwali #FestivalMarketing #MindfulConsumerism #SpendingWisely #ExperiencesOverThings

'Let’s discuss this after Diwali!' As Diwali approaches, I’m hearing the same refrain from clients time and time again! It’s like a magic spell that makes all discussions vanish! I mean, I get it—who wouldn’t want to focus on sweets, lights, and family gatherings instead of marketing strategies? But come on, can we at least squeeze in a quick chat between the ladoos and the diyas? Picture this: I'm sitting here with my laptop, surrounded by festive decorations, trying to convince my clients that a solid content strategy is just as important as picking the right rangoli design. So here’s my plea: let’s not let the Diwali spirit completely derail our marketing plans! After all, even Lord Ganesha had a strategy for removing obstacles. Wishing everyone a joyous Diwali filled with laughter, lights, and maybe just a tiny bit of work! (But seriously, can we chat before the festival frenzy?) #Diwali #DigitalMarketing #AI #ClientConversations #FestiveSeason #MarketingMagic #WorkLifeBalance #HouseofLeads House of Leads

One thing I look forward to every Diwali season (besides the sweets) is the creativity brands pour into their ads. Diwali ads are more than just “Happy Diwali” wishes. They capture nostalgia, deep emotions, aspirations, family bonds, and that unique warmth of reconnecting with loved ones. These ads reflect the emotions many of us feel this time of year, whether it’s traveling back home, reliving old memories, or simply cherishing moments with family. They remind us of what matters most in a way that’s relatable and heartfelt. If you’re looking for some of the best storytelling in ad work, head over to YouTube and search “Diwali ads.” You’ll find beautifully crafted campaigns that go beyond just selling. They make us pause, smile, and remember why we celebrate. Sharing a few of my favorites from The Coca-Cola Company, Cadbury Gifting India, TANISHQ JEWLLERYS, L&T Realty & Swiggy here. Drop down your favourite ones in the comments below! #diwali #advertisment #media

"Diwali & the Sales Guy Dilemma : As the Festival of Lights approaches, he finds himself torn between the joy of celebration and the relentless grind of sales pressure. Can we truly light up our homes when our phones keep ringing?" Every Diwali, there’s that familiar tug- deep desire to unplug and celebrate with loved ones, met with the undeniable pressure to hit those last minute targets. I know this feeling well, from years spent in the thick of sales at various levels. The joy of the season too often gets overshadowed by a relentless pursuit of numbers. If you've ever felt the struggle to be present with family while work looms, you're not alone. Over the years, I’ve learned that with intention, balance is possible. So, to all my fellow sales professionals, let’s protect our time for family, laughter, and light this Diwali—even amid the grind. Success matters, but so does savoring life’s moments. Here’s to a Diwali that brings both achievement and genuine celebration. Wishing everyone a prosperous and joyous festival. P.S.: This year, it's a triple challenge- lighting up for Diwali, spooking it up for Halloween (yep, same day!), and surviving month-end chaos. Who needs horror movies when you've got sales targets? 😅 #Diwali #SalesLife #WorkLifeBalance #FestivalOfLights #Halloween

🪔 Last night, I lit a sky lantern for Diwali. As it floated up, joining thousands of lights across the city, I realized something profound about marketing... In my 7 years of running festival campaigns, I've seen very few brands nail their festive ads. Here's what I know after analyzing 1,347 festival ads: (and the framework I use to fix them): [1] Lead with celebration, not selling ↬ "Light up their faces this Diwali" > "Buy our designer diyas" ↬ "Create Christmas morning magic" > "30% off toys" ↬ Tap into the joy of giving, not just buying [2] Visual storytelling hierarchy: ↬ First 2 seconds: Show the emotional payoff ↬ Next 3 seconds: Demonstrate the product ↬ Final frame: Clear CTA Pro tip: Test opening with reaction shots of gift recipients [3] Copy that converts: ↬ Use sensory words ("sparkle," "glow," "warm") ↬ Write in "you" perspective ↬ Add urgency without desperation ↬ Include social proof naturally Example: ❌ "Best price on premium diyas. Buy now." ✅ "When you light these diyas, you're not just decorating your home. You're carrying forward a tradition your grandmother started. Limited edition hand-painted collection. 2,000+ families celebrating with us this Diwali." See the difference? The first sells a product. The second sells a memory. Because here's what 7 years taught me: ↬ People don't buy things. ↬ They buy better versions of their moments. Think about it: That diya isn't just a clay lamp. It's the warmth of being home. Even when you're miles away. That's what drives the "Buy Now" click. Not the price. But the promise. 🪔 Happy Diwali. May your marketing light up hearts, Not just notifications. What moment are you selling? #happydiwali #festivevibes #digitalmarketing #diwali2024

Myths about Customers: “Oh I am eagerly waiting for this brand’s Diwali special campaign. Will it be a video that will go viral? And I can’t wait to see how they amazingly they celebrated Diwali in their office premises.” 🤩 Facts: ☝️I am travelling home this Diwali. Their services better be good and on time. ☝️I am taking a cab to go home for Pooja. They better not do insane surge pricing. ☝️I am ordering things online. I don’t care about the freebies but I want my order seamlessly delivered. ☝️I am buying a last minute gift; they better deliver on their promise. It’s all about getting the basics right. Consistently. Come rain or shine or Diwali! #branding #marketing #customertruths #customerpsychology
