Your business can be high-tech, but your brand needs to be human. Recently, #jesterandgenius had the opportunity to show how this works with a client who’s about as high-tech as they come (think physics, aeronautics and engineering). But the Brand Story that we collectively crafted was inherently human – answering the ultimate question – what business are we REALLY in? The answer is never what you sell, but what you enable as a result. Rose Kaur #brandstory

Wow, how did SpaceX do that!?? 🧐 Catching a booster in mid air on their first attempt with such precision!? The answer: digital simulation. 💡 On the left: SpaceX booster landing sequence. On the right: 424 going around the Nurburgring in simulation. Both engineering challenges are about physics modelling precision. I was watching SpaceX flight 5 last weekend and got very excited about what it means for the future of innovation. When working in Formula 1 and motorsport, I use these advanced modelling tools to predict the behaviour of the car going around the track. The results from virtual and physical testing are sometimes so close that it is hard to pick which one is real and which one is the digital twin. PERRINN 424 is relying on digital simulation to make difficult design decisions before we even build the first physical part to maximise our performance and keep our capital expenditure under control. And it works. The future of innovation is digital and collaborative. PERRINN 424 We are a Team Image credit @GoddenThomas on X

𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 🔦 In today's fast-paced world, where time is money and innovation drives success, 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 is paramount for rapid development, especially in manufacturing, where traditional methods can be slow and resource-intensive. Today, we bring into spotlight Machina Labs, an advanced manufacturing company based in Los Angeles, which is pioneering 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, with its first use case in metal sheet forming. 🤖🔩 At the core of Machina's innovation is its groundbreaking product, the 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧: not just a tool, but 𝐚 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. With its unique ability to seamlessly transition between production tasks through simple software updates, it redefines efficiency and adaptability, embodying agility, and versatility, pushing the boundaries of industrial automation. 🚘🚀 The company’s impact extends across various sectors including #Aerospace and #Automotive, attracting reputable partners such as Lockheed Martin, NASA, the US Air Force, and Yamaha. In fact, in 2023 Machina achieved a key milestone working with the 𝐔.𝐒. 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞, on 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 for metal tooling manufacturing. This aligned with the demand for lightweight, high-strength composite structures in aviation and AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) and UAM (Urban Air Mobility) vehicles, showcasing its commitment to innovation and industry advancement. In January 2023, Machina Labs secured an investment from Lockheed Martin Ventures (LMV) to fuel company growth, address customer demands, and expand R&D efforts into new processes and metallurgical offerings. Later, in October 2023, they closed a Series B investment of $32 million, bringing the total funding to $45 million. This round was co-led by NVentures, NVIDIA’s venture capital arm, and existing investor Innovation Endeavors, aiming to meet growing customer needs and intensify research efforts. 🎯 Looking ahead, Machina is gearing up for significant milestones and advancements, including expanding business development initiatives and implementing cost-saving measures to enhance competitiveness on a larger scale. In this endeavor, #Cliffs is providing support to help it establish new potential partnerships. Go #Machina! 🤙 #Robotics #Manufacturing #AI

🤖🦾 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐠 - 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠! In the future, the boundaries between humans and robots will blur more and more. And I took the first step by trying out the anthropomorphic hand application developed by Theo Papadopoulos and his team at Siemens. This #robot hand lets you work in the industrial metaverse while having a realistic feeling of the object you are operating with virtually. 💡 Interact with objects like you would in the real world: objects react in the same way virtually and physically. Squeezing your handy will deform the virtual ball you are holding. 💡 Get direct feedback from the objects you are handling virtually: feel the drill vibrating in your hand. 💡 Handle machinery via robot arms in a laboratory far away from you: maybe enabling remote work for factory workers^^ 💡 Integrated with VR applications: human machine interaction on the next level. 💡 Use cases can be anything from training to maintenance and factory operations. Big shoutout to Theo Papadopoulos and Dimitrios Chatzis for this innovation. Stay tuned for 🤖Cyborg Cosima🤖 in the near future. #industrialmetaverse #digitaltwin
