European minimalist interior design embraces simplicity, functionality, and clean lines, creating spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. A key element in this design philosophy is the use of concrete as wall cladding. Concrete brings an industrial yet elegant touch to minimalist interiors, offering a versatile canvas for creativity. Its raw, textured surface adds depth and character to the space while maintaining a sense of understated sophistication. In European minimalist design, concrete is often left exposed, celebrating its natural beauty and simplicity. It serves as a backdrop for carefully curated furnishings and accent pieces, allowing them to stand out without overwhelming the space. The use of concrete as wall cladding also contributes to the overall sustainability of the design, as it is a durable and low-maintenance material with a long lifespan. Its thermal mass properties can also help regulate temperature, improving energy efficiency. In essence, the incorporation of concrete into European minimalist interiors embodies the marriage of functionality and aesthetics, creating spaces that are both visually striking and effortlessly livable. Transforming Spaces, One Detail at a Time Sharing a glimpse of one of my ongoing interior design projects, where vision meets execution. This transformation reflects my passion for creating modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces. In the "before" stage, the structure hinted at potential. Now, the "after" brings that potential to life with sleek wooden textures, a bold circular mirror accent, and meticulously curated finishes. The media wall seamlessly combines style and functionality, proving that every element in a space can serve both beauty and purpose. This project embodies my approach as a designer—crafting spaces that are not just visually appealing but also tailored to the needs and lifestyle of those who inhabit them. Excited to see this project nearing completion! #InteriorDesign #ArchitecturalDetail #SpaceTransformation #DesignExecution #OngoingProjects #InteriorStyling

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 : 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐓𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 Introducing contrasts into an interior design palette sparks a dramatic interplay of visual intrigue and depth. By juxtaposing elements such as light and dark colours, smooth and textured surfaces, or modern and traditional styles, one can create dynamic compositions that capture attention and evoke emotion. The interplay of contrasts emphasizes key focal points of a space, highlights architectural features, and adds a layer of intricacy to the space. This deliberate use of contrast engages the senses, invigorating the design and imbuing it with energy and intrigue, ultimately elevating the overall aesthetic and creating a memorable experience for inhabitants and visitors. #InteriorDesign #ContrastDesign #DesignComposition #FocalPoints #LuxuryInterior #HighEndLiving #LuxuryDetails #TexturedDesign #MaterialMixology #LuxuryLivingSpace #SensoryExperience #ElevatingDesign #KKDStudio #KrishKothari

I reflected on how modern spaces are enriched by the aesthetics of imperfection and why we might feel uncomfortable in perfect interiors. Just 10 years ago, everyone was captivated by classic European minimalism — interiors were mostly perfect and “sterile”. But trends evolve in cycles, and eventually, we craved something more lively, rich, and cozy, which is only natural. Moreover, there has been an increasing focus on ethical consumption — creating standardized, deeply processed furniture leads to a lot of waste. By moving away from this, materials can be used more efficiently. The beauty of imperfection in natural elements highlights the surrounding perfection, making it even more refined and thoughtful, and ultimately more valuable. Not to mention the positive effect such elements have on our mental well-being. How all of this works in interior design — I explained in my column for RBC-Ukraine: https://lnkd.in/ddYciB7a #interiordesign #wabisabi #aesthetics #designtrends #naturalmaterials

Q&A with Olivia Siskou, Interior Designer We asked our long-time collaborator, Olivia Siskou, why art plays such an important role in interior design. Here’s what she had to say: ''Art is essential in establishing a dialogue with interiors, bridging the space with the visitor’s emotional experience. It gives spaces identity, tells stories, and creates a deep connection to the location. Far from being mere decoration, art is a vital part of the design process, enhancing the atmosphere, evoking emotions, and elevating the sense of luxury and authenticity. It breathes life into a space, making it more inspired and unique.'' Maximalism is often misunderstood as chaotic or overwhelming, but in the world of contemporary interior design, this style is an art form that celebrates intentional layering and thoughtful curation. Our design philosophy embraces bold and eclectic choices, weaving together an array of patterns, vibrant colours, and rich textures to create spaces that are not only visually stunning but also deeply personal and inviting. Each element is chosen to contribute to an overall narrative, resulting in interiors that are expansive, timeless, and far from the ordinary. When designed with purpose, maximalism defies the conventional “less is more” rule, proving that a well-composed abundance of detail can evoke a powerful and immersive atmosphere. It’s a space that not only reflects stature but also inspires the future. With #maximalism, ‘more’ can be just the right amount. #interiordesign #pune #design #ideas #architecture #baner #purpose #ambition #conferenceroom
