Really like this info graphic of different regions of the brain working alongside one another, but also the responsibility of each region. I have recently been in communication with someone who has a diagnosis of Complex PTSD and I was very surprised to learn that although being under mental health care for years, they were not fully aware of the role that trauma plays in changing the anatomy of the brain, even though there is so much research backing that some psychological issues are in fact neurological ones, it had never been explained to them by a mental health professional. #Neurology #PTSD #Psychology #Psychotherapy

During my Neuropsychiatric Posting at The Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, early this year, I took a moment to sketch a diagram from our lecture manual. (I enjoy sketching in my free time.) The sketch represents a crucial concept in neuropsychiatry, highlighting the intricate relationships between the brain, behavior, and mental health. Reflecting on my posting experience, I realized the significance of prioritizing our mental wellbeing and cultivating self-acceptance, self-esteem and self-confidence. __________________________________ It's essential to recognize the impact of negativity and actively surround ourselves with positivity.
