My True Award: A Journey of Self-Recognition Hello, As I put pen to paper today, I am reminded of the countless nights I spent gazing at empty walls, yearning for the weight of an award to hang proudly upon them. For years, I toiled tirelessly, fueled by the hope that one day, my efforts would be acknowledged with a tangible symbol of recognition. Yet, as the years passed and the accolades remained elusive, doubt crept in. Through the trials of childhood, navigating the uncertainties of adolescence, and the challenges of adulthood, I questioned my worth. I wondered if I would ever ascend to the heights of success I envisioned. In the depths of my despair, I came to a profound realization: the true award was not something external to be bestowed upon me by others, but rather, it resided within myself. It was the culmination of every battle fought, every obstacle overcome, and every lesson learned. From the earliest moments of my existence, I have been a beacon of resilience and determination. Though my efforts may have gone unnoticed by the world, they have not been in vain. For I am a testament to the power of perseverance, the embodiment of success in its purest form. With this newfound understanding, I no longer seek validation from external sources. I am my own measure of worth, my own standard of excellence. No plaque or trophy could ever compare to the strength and resilience that courses through my veins. Today, I stand before you not as a recipient of accolades, but as a victor in the game of life. I have weathered storms and scaled mountains, emerging stronger and more resilient with each passing day. I am unstoppable, unbreakable, and unyielding in my pursuit of greatness. So let us celebrate not the absence of external recognition, but rather, the presence of an indomitable spirit that refuses to be defined by the limitations of others. I am the award, the highest honor bestowed upon myself, and no one can take that away from me. This past year has been the hardest and most rewarding of my career. Here’s why… Growing two companies, building teams, and working through constant challenges pushed me to my limits. There were days I questioned if I was pushing too hard. Several times where I wondered if all the stress was worth it. And moments where it felt like no matter how much progress we made, there was still so much more to do. But every challenge feels worth it when you see the impact you can have. I got a message recently. It was a simple reminder that the real reward is so much more than how much money you make—it’s who you help along the way. Helping clients hit goals they didn’t think were possible. Watching my team grow—gaining confidence, taking ownership, and finding purpose in their work. And seeing the ripple effect of that impact go far beyond work. Winning isn’t about how much you get. It’s about how much you give. To your team. To your clients. To the people who trust you to lead. That’s the ultimate success.

✨ Never forget how far you’ve come. ✨ I’ll admit it—I’m guilty of getting so wrapped up in everything I still need to do and all the places I still want to go, that I forget to pause and appreciate just how far I’ve already come. Sound familiar? But here’s the thing: the present moment is beautiful. Right now, you are exactly where you’re meant to be. You are absolutely perfect, just as you are. Take a moment to look back over the last 12 months. Think about all the challenges you’ve faced, the wins you’ve celebrated, and the growth you’ve achieved. It’s easy to lose sight of those milestones when you’re constantly looking ahead, but they are worth celebrating. So, I’m inviting you to pause. Reflect. Write down a few things you’re proud of from this year—whether it’s a big business win, a personal breakthrough, or even just surviving a tough season. ✅ To-do: Live in the moment. ❌ Don’t do: Jump to the next thing.    There’s a time and a place for forward-thinking. As humans, we’re geared to answer “What’s next?” But instantly setting your eyes on the horizon to find the next best thing doesn’t belong when you’ve just had a win.  Pause. Relish it.  I know even in my business, whether I’ve had a successful campaign or client workshop, I tend to go into future-proof mode and think about what’s next on my plate without enjoying and digesting the last, delicious meal I just ate.  I know being present in our careers and celebrating wins is easier said than done. You might not want to celebrate in fear that failure lies around the next corner. Recently, Aamir Khan shared an insightful thought on why he avoids attending awards shows, saying, "Time is a valuable thing; it should be spent wisely." This resonated with me deeply. We often find ourselves investing time and energy in situations or pursuits that, in retrospect, feel unworthy of our effort. I remember a phase in my life when I would exert significant effort to engage with people who showed no genuine interest in me. It was driven by a hope to land in a desired scenario or gain validation, but looking back, I realize how much it affected my self-respect and led to time wasted on futile pursuits. We've all had moments where we reflect on our past decisions and think, "I shouldn't have spent my time like that; it was such a waste." Why Are We Still Chasing Awards That Don’t Even Exist? Have you ever caught yourself pursuing titles that hold no real value, like “Most Perfect” or “Never Said No”? If yes, grab a seat because you’re not alone! We’ve all tried to chase at least one of these made-up awards, even if not all: -Most Perfect -Never Said No -Rested the Least -Didn’t Need Help -Worked the Longest -Made Zero Mistakes -Lived Up to Everyone’s Expectations These awards don’t define your worth. So many of us chase these invisible trophies, thinking they will validate us. But guess what? They won’t! Why? Because I know how much joy they can withdraw from your bank of happiness. After failing to try so many things meant for my good because I was afraid to fail, I knew something was wrong. I later realized this struggle stemmed from my pursuit of perfection, which was stealing my everyday joy. Now, let go of all that and focus on what truly matters: How? ➤ Set Boundaries: It’s okay to say “no” when you need to. ➤ Ask for Help: Seeking support shows strength, not weakness. ➤ Prioritize Rest: You deserve time to recharge. ➤ Embrace Mistakes: They are valuable lessons for growth. ➤ Work Smart: Focus on quality over quantity. ➤ Define Personal Goals: Your happiness is what counts most. ➤ Celebrate Progress: Every step forward is worth acknowledging!
