Following the heinous genocide that occurred in the MEA, two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are most relevant and pressing; these are SDG 2, which aims at ending hunger, and SDG 16, which focuses on peace, justice, and strong institutions. It is crucial to address the issue of food insecurity and provide assistance to the affected population affected by the conflict. At the same time, it is essential to hold people responsible for atrocities and to develop stable and just societies that include everyone to avoid conflicts and create peace in the future.
