The FDA announced today a ban on the use of Red Dye No. 3 in food items by January 15, 2027. This is a significant and controversial topic. As someone who strives to maintain a "dye-free" household, I know firsthand how tricky this can be, especially with kids who love a brightly colored snack or sweet treat! Over the past year, we've increased our commitment by being more mindful of the products we bring into our home - swapping out Halloween candy, carefully reading chip labels, stocking up on gummy snacks from European grocery stores, and embracing the charm of broken candy canes when they were the only dye-free option available. These small efforts remind me that perfection isn't the goal; it's about progress and reducing the chemicals in the foods we consume. The FDA decision is just the beginning of what will be a broader journey of change for both consumers and CPG manufacturers. While it aligns with the growing demand for transparency and cleaner ingredients, it also introduces challenges: - Reformulating products or adapting international recipes for the U.S. market. - Managing the higher costs of natural alternatives to synthetic dyes. - Helping consumers embrace new colors and, at times, subtle shifts in taste that diverge from their historical memories of iconic snacks As someone who thrives on solving complex industry challenges, I'm excited to work alongside companies to navigate this transition. Together, we can find innovative solutions that align with evolving regulations, meet consumer expectations, and continue delivering products we all love.

BREAKING NEWS: The FDA has finally banned Red Dye No. 3 from our food supply, marking a long-overdue step toward protecting public health. While this is a critical win, let’s be clear—this is not something we should have to celebrate. Removing a cancer-causing additive from our food is not a milestone; it’s the bare minimum standard for safety that should never have been compromised in the first place. For over three decades, Red Dye No. 3 has been allowed to remain in countless food products, despite being banned from cosmetics since 1990 due to its cancer links. How did this happen? The answer lies in decades of lobbying by agribusiness giants that prioritized profit margins over consumer health. This isn’t just a regulatory lapse—it’s a systemic failure that underscores the dangers of corporate influence in public policy. To the tireless advocates, health professionals, and consumer organizations who refused to let this issue be ignored: this is your victory. Your dedication proves that advocacy matters and that persistence can drive change, even in the face of powerful opposition. This milestone should fuel our collective resolve to demand accountability, transparency, and stronger safeguards in our food system. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to build a food supply that prioritizes people over profits, safety over shortcuts, and health over harmful ingredients. #PublicHealth #FoodSafety #AdvocacyMatters #BanRedDye3 #PeopleOverProfits #HealthcareReform #CleanLabelMovement #ConsumerRights #ToxicFreeFuture #HealthyLiving #RegulationMatters #CorporateAccountability #SustainableFood #HealthFirst #FightForChange https://lnkd.in/eZKs7BSv

During the winter season here in the Northeast, Reckitt's Airborne and Mucinex for cold/flu symptom relief, a healthy stash of Kimberly-Clark Kleenex, and a pantry stocked with comfort foods like The Campbell's Company’s chicken soup are my tried and true go-to’s. However, my curiosity is seriously sparked by these new General Mills Progresso Soup Drops. They have taken the world by storm, selling out super-quicky online with shoppers waiting until next week for the next batch to become available. Will they be a quickly forgotten special-edition item or is this the launch of something truly special that will evolve to become a comfort-seekers staple? Leave your comments below and tell me what you think! Either way, I’m anxiously hoping I’m able to score a can to try them myself. Equally interested to see if they eventually enter an EyeSee shelf test to gauge their performance as a formal new product introduction. Time will tell... #ProgressoSoupDrops #MRX #NewProductTesting

2moI understand the desire to drive engagement of course (and hey, it got me to click the link), but making a "guessing game" out of a matter of public health and safety seems grossly irresponsible to me. Especially given the fact none of the images you show actually depict the affected 13 oz. bags of Lay's chips.
