Flagging a rarity in Financial CEO communication here: If you take the 3:37mins (do it) what you'll see is what is missing from what I see MOST CEOs - particularly in banks/ big banks - do in their updates/quarterly outreach to clients and the outside world. But not here! My great friend here, Alan Leist is the CEO of Strategic Financial Services. Not surprising to me, but not indicative of the norm, he gives meaningful attention to his OWN PEOPLE, while speaking to the CLIENTS of Strategic Financial. ⇉ It's the people of Strategic who deliver FOR those clients. ⇉ It's the people of Strategic who need to feel energized, engaged, and connected to delivering FOR those clients. ⇉ It's the people of Strategic who those clients will be engaging with, and who are responsible for being trusted, bringing energy to the conversation, and delivering for the clients. ⇉ ⇉ ⇉ When you watch most CEOs and leaders (there is one I'm watching in particular in this vein) they speak all about the importance of servicing the client - clearly the sole purpose and it should be - but fail miserably at remembering WHO they lead in that same conversation. I assure you, the people of those firms feel FORGOTTEN. Feeling continually forgotten by your own leader has direct correlation to the level of service your valued customers will receive. You lead the people that serve your clients - do not forget them. In fact - be purposeful in highlighting their meaning, energy, and strength to your clients - your clients want to work with engaged people!!
