With my first semester at Stevens Institute of Technology nearing an end, I'd like to reflect and share my experience that I found the most interesting with the Graduate Consulting Club, Stevens. It was when the GCC organized Case Study Analysis for Strategy featuring Professor Pranav Garg where he talked about Strategy consulting, how to analyze a case study or a business situation, what to look for, and how you can find small details in it to form your strategy. This event was very interactive where he listed out all the points that all of us had to offer after reading the case study and how everything was interconnected. Being a person who's shocked to learn even the smallest details, my mind was blown. I learned the importance of collaboration and critical thinking at the same time, which are essential for success in the consulting industry. Having worked in the consulting industry for a year before coming to the US to pursue my Masters in Finance, I found it insightful and helpful in navigating my passion for consulting. #GraduateConsultingClub #Consulting #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking

Humbled to have won the best speaker award for the consulting case study competition held at trinity business school, organised by DU Consulting Group and Accenture UK & Ireland. With time snatched from hither and thither between the lectures- and less than 3 hours to brainstorm and prepare a proposal-my team mate Philip Gray and I presented the case study. Although we didn't come in first place in the competition, the learning curve and experience were phenomenal, pushing us to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines. The case study focused on a company looking to to enter the US EV market. Our task was to assess feasibility, scalability potential, and break-even timelines. We applied several models like Porters 5 forces, PESTEL analysis, and scenario analysis, and crunched data in excel to guide us in crafting a logical, insightful solution for the hypothetical German company relying on our insights. I thank Trinity Business School, DU Consulting Group, and Accenture group for organising this event and providing valuable feedback after each presentation. #trinitybusinessschool #trinitymba #consulting #strategy #mbastuff

Realizations that come with time - During MBA: Consulting is so interesting – helping clients solve their problem statements as somehow they can’t. Imagination: I will define strategies for clients which will enable them for turnarounds and become famous case studies. At the job realization: Clients know almost everything, and consulting is all about making things happen - conducting meetings, driving teams to deliver, research, solutioning, presentations, analysis, frameworks, outcomes, etc. All of the above but collaboratively.

🌟 Reflections on the Business Consulting Course – Winter 2024 I am excited to share some key experiences and learnings from the Business Consulting course (MGMT*6300) at the University of Guelph, led by the incredible Professor Nita Chhinzer. This course was a dynamic blend of theory and practice, allowing us to work on real-world cases and tackle complex business challenges. We worked on different cases and one of the highlights was working on a case LEVELFILM, where we analyzed strategic alternatives for a film distribution company navigating a competitive and evolving market. We evaluated: 🎥 Specializing in a single genre, 🎥 Building a diversified portfolio, and 🎥 Investing heavily in a blockbuster project. Through comprehensive market analysis, financial assessments, and operational feasibility studies, we gained valuable insights into decision-making processes, risk mitigation strategies, and portfolio management. The exercise deepened my understanding of how businesses can align their strategies with market trends, customer needs, and operational strengths. Throughout the semester, we tackled diverse topics and cases, honing skills in: 🔹 Strategic thinking, 🔹 Problem-solving, 🔹 Collaborative teamwork, and 🔹 Effective communication. A heartfelt thank you to Professor Nita Chhinzer for her exceptional guidance and to my peers for their collaboration and insights. This course has been a transformative experience, equipping me with practical tools to approach business challenges confidently. I’m eager to apply what I have learned in future projects and continue growing in the field of consulting and strategic decision-making. #BusinessConsulting #StrategicThinking #UniversityOfGuelph #LangSchool #CaseStudies #ProfessionalGrowth

✨ Excited to share my experience presenting to the Business Consulting and Decision Intelligence MSc program at SKEMA Business School ! I had the opportunity to explain what consulting is and share insights about the field with a group of curious students. 💡 Consulting can often feel like an abstract concept to those outside the industry. In fact, when I tried explaining my job to my parents, I realized how challenging it can be to define what we *really* do without using too much business jargon. That’s when I came up with an analogy that resonated with them and, I hope, will resonate with many others : 👨⚕️ Consulting is like being a doctor for businesses. Here’s how it works: - Diagnosis: Just like a doctor identifies a patient’s illness, a consultant diagnoses a business's "sickness." This might involve analyzing challenges like market entry, creating a new business unit, or optimizing operations. - Prescription: Once the diagnosis is clear, a consultant develops a tailored "prescription" – in this case, a business strategy or actionable plan to address the problem. - Recovery: Finally, it’s up to the "patient" – the organization – to administer the prescribed solution to recover and thrive. 🎉 This analogy simplifies our role: diagnosing issues, crafting solutions, and empowering businesses to succeed. 💪 It was incredibly rewarding to connect with future professionals who may soon step into these problem-solving roles themselves. Thank you, Christophe Bisson, Ph.D., for hosting me, and I look forward to seeing how these talented students will shape the consulting world!

🌟 Be it an 'executive course' the brochure promised I'll need to put in 6-10 hours weekly, but reality was very much different ... 🌟 I've recently earned a prestigious certification from #INSEAD in Business Strategy and Financial Performance! 🎓 following some 8 weeks of intensive studies. While the accomplishment represents a milestone in my journey of #LifeLongLearning and #ProfessionalDevelopment, it reminded me not only how fun and exciting it is to learn and acquire news knowledge, but more importantly, how different things look when one is actually interested and engaged in what one is learning, rather than does things for the sake of ... In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, staying relevant and competitive requires a commitment to continuous learning and growth, which is not always easy. The pace of change is relentless, and those who embrace it are the ones who thrive. Investing in education isn't about acquiring new skills; it's about adapting to the shifting demands of the marketplace and seizing new opportunities. As the saying goes, "The only constant in life is Change," and it's never been more true than it is today. By pursuing ongoing education, we not only enhance our capabilities but also broaden our perspectives, gain new experiences, meet new people, and all of those enable us to approach challenges with creativity and innovation. Whether it's mastering the latest technologies, understanding emerging trends, or honing leadership skills, lifelong learning empowers us to navigate uncertainty and drive success. Moreover, the benefits of continuous education extend far beyond the professional realm. It fosters #personalgrowth, cultivates #resilience, and enriches our lives in ways we, most often than not, do not even anticipate! I'm immensely grateful for INSEAD for this opportunity to expand my knowledge and skill-set through programs such as #DigitalTransformation. It's a testament to their commitment to excellence and their dedication to empowering individuals to reach their full potential. As we journey through this ever-changing world, let's embrace the spirit of lifelong learning. Let's challenge ourselves to continually evolve, to stay hungry for knowledge, and to remain relentlessly relevant in pursuit of our goals. Here's to the additional 2 courses (adventures) lying ahead, fueled by my passion for learning new things, unwavering commitment to growth and quest to become the best version of myself I can possibly be. Last but not least - thank you again to INSEAD for this opportunity to meet and engage with your world-leading lecturers, fantastic students, fabulous support staff and above all - absolutely delightful content and learning journey! #LifelongLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment #INSEAD #BusinessStrategy #FinancialPerformance #StayRelevant #EmbraceChange https://lnkd.in/gwdfqsMF
