I had a great time at Devfest Berlin yesterday! The event was packed with insightful talks, and one that stood out for me was "Fellowship of Product: How Your Team Setup Affects Your Experience" presented by Inès Mir and Doruk Deniz Kutukculer. The session explored two distinct tech team structures, strengths, and challenges. The Fellowship of Product emphasizes collaboration, joint goal-setting, and empathy for users, fostering a sense of shared ownership. However, it can come with communication challenges, blurred accountability due to shared responsibility, and increased meetings to maintain alignment. On the other hand, Gathered Forces excels in specialization, efficiency, and well-defined processes. Yet, this structure can sometimes create silos, slow down feedback loops, stifle innovation, and lead to losing sight of the bigger picture. Bureaucracy and reduced individual influence can also limit the team’s overall dynamism. One of my key takeaways was realizing that team structures are rarely easy to change. Understanding how a team is set up is crucial, as it plays a significant role in shaping your day-to-day experience, collaboration dynamics, and opportunities for personal growth. A big thank you to the organizers and speakers for making this such a fantastic and rewarding event! 🙌

Celebrating One Year of SEmonks Pvt Ltd! 16th March 2024 – Today as we celebrate the first anniversary of SEmonks Pvt Ltd, I feel grateful and thrilled. Oh, what a ride it’s been! It was a year filled with highs and lows, rollercoaster of emotions, and determination. Every twist and turn shaped us into the resilient warriors we are today. In the beginning, it was just me, my laptop, and the dream. Working from my room on a project of just $25 laid the foundation, but as the vision expanded, so did our family, and the beautiful workspace. Today, we stand strong with a dedicated team of 10-12 brilliant individuals, each contributing their unique talents to our collective success. Although fear was constant companion of this journey, we turned fear into fuel to move forward. Here I want to share the lessons I learnt along the way:- - Success isn't just about the highs; it's about how we face the challenging lows. The determination to keep moving forward, even when the path is steep and uncertain is the most important thing. - Adjusting our sails to the changing winds of the market is important. Accepting the changes is a pathway to innovation and evolution. - One of the most important lessons is understanding the power of a supportive team. The collective strength, diverse talents, and shared dedication of our team have been the bedrock of our success. - In entrepreneurship, every sunrise brings a new challenge to conquer and a fresh opportunity to thrive. We fed SEmonks with ideas, shaped it with hard work, and watched it grow, overcoming the inevitable sleepless nights of uncertainty.
