𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝘇𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 🧟♀️ After speaking to potential Beauty clients over the past month, I need to get something off my chest... The time you could 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 and make your Beauty brand a success is over. Even in a small market like The Netherlands, new skincare and men's skincare brands are (re)launching monthly. Founders get caught up in their brand and lose sight of what's happening around them. Too few can adequately answer the question: "What's your brand's unique value and why should it even exist?" And 💸 fundraising is not the solution if you cannot answer that basic question. It's just throwing good money after bad and investors are not (that) crazy. You can be passionate about your brand and maintain your entrepreneurial spirit, while still: 🛍️ Talking to potential consumers (NOT existing ones who confirm your bias). 🦄 Clearly defining your unique value and getting experts to challenge you. 🏪 Investing in getting the market and channel mix just right! Would you have the guts to ask Mark Cuban a question about your business? Every time he opened the floor, I shot my hand up—so much that he added one last chance at the end (gotta shoot your shot you know😅). My question? It was about our life-saving lipstick at Esōes Cosmetics. I asked if investors lean toward U.S. based manufacturing with higher costs or overseas options with lower COGS. His answer was super helpful, but what I didn’t see coming was the offer he made me at the end of answering my question. 🤭 So, what do you think? Should I go for it??
