Mini Holiday Hackathon Codédex The first two weeks of December were a period of great learning for me. One of the best challenges you can face is you vs you. From December 13th to 15th, I participated in the Mini Holiday Hackathon organized by Codédex, my second hackathon this month, not knowing exactly what to expect. We needed to choose between two tracks: Track 1: Dot-Com Boom Take an existing company or brand and give it a 90s-style website makeover. Track 2: Now It's Personal Create your own personal portfolio, fansite, or original product with a retro vibe. I chose Track 2 because I wanted to create a personal portfolio with a nostalgic style. This meant stepping into the spirit of the 1990s and completing the project within 48 hours. About the Project My portfolio was designed for a fixed screen resolution of 800×600, which was very common at the time. As a result, the website doesn’t display well on mobile devices—just like websites in the 90s. The website will soon have a responsive design, allowing you to access it from any device. Inspiration As a child, I played many retro games and enjoyed watching my relatives play as well. I wanted to capture that unique style and bring the same nostalgic energy to my portfolio.
