A banker relationship (& being bankable) is an essential layer in mitigating risk. If you have a great relationship and are bankable, you know this. If you don't and aren't, you are (and should be) working on it. Being broomed from a 30-year banking relationship in 2008 and fighting back to become bankable and find a new bank taught me that lesson to last a lifetime!
The right banker can be a huge asset and partner to the growth of a business. If you don’t feel that way, you probably don’t have the right one, yet!

1wA deep relationship with your banker can have awesome benefits outside of the traditional banking support. They often have their ear to the ground for new acquisition or exit opportunities. …And they usually have season tickets to something 😉😜
