NURSE LOVE, TOUGH LOVE, NURSE DISRUPTER NURSES, It's time we come together and REALLY support one another, NOT LIP SERVICE but actual action and create the change our profession needs. The #nursing community is 5 million strong, but too often, we act as if we're on separate islands never interacting with one another. To make a difference, we must bridge the gaps, extend a hand, and stand united. I recently attended a #nursing conference where the focus was on solutions and collaboration. The energy was palpable, and it reminded me of how powerful we can be when we work together. Yet, I see #nurses with impressive titles and credentials who struggle to connect with #bedsidenurses. Let's break down those barriers. Let's remember that we all started at the bedside, and we must remain connected to the heart of our profession. #NurseLove is about listening to one another, offering a helping hand, and sharing our knowledge. #NurseToughLove means holding ourselves and each other accountable, and pushing for the best outcomes for our patients and our profession. #NurseDisrupter is about challenging the status quo and advocating for positive change. I will always stand with the #bedsidenurse, no matter how many degrees or titles I accumulate. That's where we find the real pulse of #nursing, where compassion and care meet. It's also where we need to strengthen our bonds and work towards a more united front. So let's embrace Nurse Love, Nurse Tough Love, and be Nurse Disrupters. Let's build bridges, not walls. Let's find solutions, not just talk about problems. Tag a nurse who has inspired you and let's start a conversation about how we can support each other and make healthcare better. Together, we can change the landscape of healthcare. Let's do it with empathy, courage, and a commitment to each other. #Nurses RescueRN Mick Hopkins Rebecca Love RN, MSN, FIEL Angie Gray

Implementing nurse navigation can be done without employing outside help. I know -- I've done it. I also know it is a LOT of work and comes with roadblocks and unanticipated obstacles. Overcoming these challenges is time-consuming and can throw implementation plans off track. NavPath employs the 5 Key Elements of Change Adoption to guide the process. We know there is more to nurse navigation than a title. A change management plan and project plan are essential components of any large-scale undertaking, which is why we have built those considerations into the NavPath Framework. Identifying metrics early in the process and tracking them at regular intervals is important, but ROI is also a key success element. We come to you armed with updated payor guidance and support. Most importantly, we prepare your nurses for success. It isn't enough to move them to a new role. We have courses to build their confidence and support their autonomy -- as a bonus, they will receive continuing education units (CEUs) for the work they put into their growth. True innovation isn't just about high-tech breakthroughs—it's often crafted by dedicated professionals improving everyday patient care. Nurses are master innovators out of necessity. I've seen many simple yet effective solutions by nurses make a big impact. For example, one nurse created a patient "User Guide" helps demystify hospital stays by explaining in-room systems and providing a glossary of healthcare terms. Another nurse "innovation" is a "comfort pack," assembled by nurses with items like earplugs and eye masks to help patients relax and reduce anxiety. To really understand innovation, just look at how nurses work. Their resourcefulness in enhancing patient experiences is inspiring.
"Nursing history has been built on innovation. There is no more important time to empower our nurses to innovate and generate new clinical care models supported by technology to address the shrinking workforce and the increasing patient needs." Wise words from Terri Couts, RN-BC MHA and others in this 2022 post on the vital role #nurses play in healthcare. https://lnkd.in/e4wYWKG3 Liz Oliver Johnson, MS,FAAN,LCHIME,FCHIME, RN-BC,FHIMSS,CHCIO Dan Howard, MBA, CHCIO, CDH-E, PMP Brian Weirich Christopher Walden MHA, BSN, CHCIO Becky Fox #nursesweek #nursingleaders #nationalnursesweek #nursesrock

#Nurses can no longer accept the status quo! This quote perfectly captures the current state of the #nursing profession. We're facing a crisis fueled by a lack of fair #reimbursement, contributing to #understaffing, #burnout, and compromised #patient care. It's time to challenge the status quo. We can't sit back and accept a system that undervalues nurses' vital contributions. We must demand a reimbursement structure that reflects the true worth of our skills, expertise, and unwavering dedication. We must innovate new care models and reform #healthcare policies that no longer serve us or our profession! Let's fight for a better future, a better tomorrow, and a profession that respects and rewards the incredible work we do. #healthcareonlinkedin #nursingonlinkedin #ValueOurNurses #NursingStrong Rebecca Love RN, MSN, FIEL Sharon Pearce Shannon Lunn, RN, CRN-BC, CNMAP Mirini Kim DNP, RN, CPNP-PC Katie Davis, MS, RN, AGACNP-BC Jane Jeppson Commission for Nurse Reimbursement

How do you talk about the current state of nursing with young people considering the profession? Recently, I talked with a family friend who asked me to chat with their child who is considering becoming a #nurse. It's no secret that #healthcare faces challenges, and #nursing is no exception. And I certainly didn't want not to be honest. However, I chose cautious optimism in our conversation. And she seemed to lean into the #challenges with open eyes and excitement! In our conversation, I shared the pros and cons, the long days and the profound moments, the frustrations and the immense rewards. I talked about emerging specialties and how much nursing has changed during my career. Our conversation summed up this quote. Because, let's face it - nursing is demanding. Long shifts, complex cases, #shortstaffing, and a healthcare system in flux present real challenges. But here's an even bigger truth: it's WORTH it, and we NEED passionate, #innovative nurses more than ever! We need change-makers, advocates, and future leaders who are ready to shape a better future for #patients and professionals. #Nursing #Healthcare #FutureLeaders #BeTheChange #nursesonlinkedin #healthcareonlinkedin

ATTN Nurses. We are nurses, not because of the number of shifts we've worked, the holidays we've missed, or degrees we've earned. This is a truth that I feel deep in my bones... We're not just here to do more. We are healers—and right now, we are being asked to give more than we have to a broken system. 2024 nursing culture has become more about pushing harder, seeing more patients, doing more with less. ...And we wonder why burnout is such an epidemic among us. The numbers don’t lie. Our healthcare system has the worst outcomes with the highest costs. And we're all caught in the middle of it. The nurses. The healers. The ones who keep this whole thing running. We are not here to play that game anymore. I, for one, am tired of seeing profits over patients. You know the system needs to change, and deep down, you’re ready to lead that change. Nurse Coaching IS the answer. Once you go through training, you’ll never look at healthcare the same way again. You’ll feel compelled to create something better. We’re the last line of defense. And if we don’t step up, the generations that follow us are going to grow up in a world where half the GDP goes to big pharma and healthcare is just another business. Nurse Life Coach Academy is here to create leaders—nurses who are confident, successful, and ready to lead the charge in healing this broken system. Are you in? Hey #Nurses, NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR BEING WHO YOU ARE! I was chatting with a former colleague who reached out because she was having some issues at work. Her boss told her she was "too worried about her patients." I reminded her that being "too patient-focused" is exactly what I loved about her as a nurse! This got me reflecting on my journey as a #nurseleader. I've always been bold, hard-working, driven, and can be a little needy (at times). I value communication and connection, and I hate to be ignored. For years, I thought I needed to apologize for these traits, thinking they didn't fit the "ideal" nurse mold. But you know what? These qualities have made me the person I am today – gritty, agile, versatile, and highly communicative. They've helped me advocate for my #patients, #colleagues, and myself, adapt quickly to changes, and build strong relationships with others. And if I started changing these things, I would no longer be the unique and authentic person I am! So, nurses, if you find yourself being told you're too [insert harsh word here], remember to embrace the superpowers that make you an exceptional caregiver and #nursing professional. Show up as your authentic self in all you do! #nursesonlinkedin #nurselife #healthcareonlinkedin #embraceyourstrengths
