I love this idea 💜 If you’ve ever worked with me you’ll know I often talk about creating the right environment for ourselves to flourish. 🌱 I often liken it to buying a plant from the garden centre. 🪧 They come with information labels that tell you exactly what they need to flourish - just the right amount of sunlight ☀️water 🌧️ and nutrients. It matters where we place them, and what the other plants are surrounding them too. And it tells us when to expect them to be in full bloom 🌸 🌱 Just like plants we need the right environment to flourish. And just like plants that environment will be different for each of us. 👨💻 Some of us will thrive off high pressure work environments whilst others will struggle. 👫 Some of us can’t get enough socialising whilst others need less. 👩🎓 Some of us need a strong purpose in our work whilst others get that from their family life. 🎨 Some of us need a creative outlet whilst others are more sporting. And just like plants, we will all flourish at the time that is right for us 💐🌹🌺🌻🌼🌸 Thankfully we don’t always need to make big changes to our external situation to tweak our environment and help us flourish. Many of the changes that make the biggest differences are the ones we make internally in our minds 🧠 Changing our perspectives, our choices, our boundaries and thoughts can make a huge difference to how we are feeling and how the external situations we can’t change impact us. Yesterday, we were proven not worthy! For a year-end get-together, we decided to head out to The Grape Escape in Napa and take on the Temple of Razum. A Hard-difficulty escape room with a 54% escape rate. We did not escape! And it was not surprising as it was the first time most of us went to an escape room. But you know what? It's okay. We all love winning, but that is only sometimes going to happen. What was important was spending time together, doing something a little different, and having fun.
