Week 7 Decision making process The decision-making process for our CSR project of donating food to an elderly home followed several key steps. First, the team identified the need to support the elderly and agreed to focus on donating food. We discussed and decided on the type and quantity of food to donate, keeping in mind the specific needs of the elderly home. Next, roles and tasks were assigned based on each team member's strengths. Some people handled food collection, others were in charge of contacting the elderly home, while others managed the delivery process. We then selected vendors or food sources, making sure to choose affordable and nutritious options. After planning the logistics, like when and how to deliver the food, the team made sure everything was in place for the final execution. Once the donation was completed, we reviewed the project, discussing what went well and how we could improve for future projects. Each decision was made through teamwork and open discussions. #wchrish #horizoncampus

National Food Bank Day 2024 Shall we all take a moment to recognise that we’re in a time where we need a day dedicated to the awareness of food banks and the growing need for them in our communities, now more than ever! At APDO, we are conscious of helping our clients declutter in a healthy way, and one simple way to do that is by donating unused—but in-date—food items to your local food bank. Do you know where yours is? Take a moment to find your nearest food bank and consider what you can contribute with a quick five-minute sweep of your pantry or cupboards. We also work with our clients to think about the future, sustainability, and, most importantly, preventing waste where we can, while educating them on where to take their unused items. Let's make a difference today! Do that quick five-minute sweep and donate what you can. #APDO_UK #NationalFoodBankDay #FoodBank #Awareness #Community #BetterTogether #Declutter #Organise #PreventWaste #Donate

Introducing the Yellow Chart: Making Food Donation Effortless and Impactful 🌟 Thrilled to unveil the Yellow Chart, a simple yet powerful CSR initiative designed to make a significant impact on our community. What is the Yellow Chart? A dedicated space near our office cafeteria where employees can effortlessly donate food items to those in need. How It Works: - Purchase: Employees buy food items from the office cafeteria as they normally would. - Donate: Attach their receipt to the Yellow Chart. - Deliver: Our office takes responsibility for collecting and delivering all donated items to local orphanages daily. Why This Initiative is Important: - Nutritional Support: Provides nutritious meals to children in orphanages who might not have access to a balanced diet. - Convenience: Enables employees to contribute to a good cause without interrupting their busy schedules. - Corporate Responsibility: Demonstrates our commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need. The Impact: The Yellow Chart bridges the gap between those who want to help and those who need it the most. By simply purchasing an extra item during their lunch break, employees can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. This initiative underscores the power of collective action within our corporate world, proving that even small acts of kindness can lead to substantial change. Join Us: Let’s come together to support this initiative and make a lasting impact. Every donation counts, and together, we can ensure that no one goes without a nutritious meal. #CSR #CommunitySupport #YellowChart #FoodDonation #CorporateResponsibility #MakingADifference #HRTeam

We are excited to announce that we are now seeking expressions of interest from charities, organisations, and community groups who would like to benefit from our initiative. From time to time, our partnering food retailers will have Foody Bags to give away completely FREE. These bags are filled with delicious, surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. Whether you are a charity helping those in need or a school running an event that could use extra supplies like bread rolls for a sausage sizzle, we want to hear from you! How to Express Your Interest: 1. Comment below or send us a direct message. 2. Share a bit about your organisation and how you can help distribute the food or use it for community events. 3. Provide your contact details so we can reach out and discuss further. Together, we can make a difference by reducing food waste and supporting our communities. Let’s join hands and ensure that good food doesn’t go to waste but is put to good use. #FoodWasteReduction #CommunitySupport #Sustainability #FoodyBag #Charity #Perth Jason Robson - it's happening!

I love that we've seen such an increase in interest in supporting causes we care about on Giving Tuesday, but I also feel like this is a valuable (and often missed) opportunity to focus on uplifting organizations that truly match our values. Most people know that food pantries lack the supply and capacity to provide shoppers with everything they’ll need to get through the month. Restricting visits and quantity is a common solution. But somehow, these limitations have become entwined with the idea that they also prevent people from growing “too dependent” on assistance. If you're donating to an anti-hunger organization, make sure to support efforts that practice the belief that everyone deserves to eat, and understand that hunger is a systemic rather than personal problem. No one can be "too dependent" on food. https://lnkd.in/gHdfF6hB #whodeservestoeat #foodjustice

🌟 Think Before You Donate! 🌟 As times change and all sectors grow rapidly, NGOs are also evolving. While many do incredible work, a few may misuse their purpose for business. Here's something valuable to learn from 2024 Before donating to an NGO, take these simple yet crucial steps to ensure your support truly makes a difference. 1️⃣ (Pay a Surprise Visit) Drop by the NGO unannounced during random occasions to see their operations firsthand. 2️⃣ (Inspect the Kitchen) A clean and hygienic kitchen speaks volumes. Check how food is prepared and stored. 3️⃣ (Assess the Food Quality)Are they serving nutritious, protein-rich meals? Beware of NGOs promoting junk food—it raises questions about their commitment to community service. 💡 Your donation is powerful—make sure it supports genuine, impactful causes! 💖 #NGOTransparency #DonateWisely #MakeADifference #CommunityMatters ##eshramjobs
