Rethinking Child Protection in Pakistan: A Collaborative Approach Pakistan faces a critical challenge in ensuring the well-being of its children. With over 20 million children out of school, 1.5 million living on the streets, and a staggering 3.3 million trapped in child labor, the urgent need for effective implementation of child protection laws is undeniable. These are not mere statistics; they represent the harsh realities faced by millions of vulnerable children in our communities. They are the children we see begging on street corners, the ones toiling away in hazardous jobs, and those denied the fundamental right to education. The current situation demands a paradigm shift. We, as a society, must prioritize the well-being of our children. This requires a collaborative approach, one that transcends individual efforts and fosters collective action.
Around 20 million children in the country are currently out of school and stressing the need for urgent action to address this issue… The Express Tribune covers the conversation earlier on Universal Children Day published on 26-11-2024 https://lnkd.in/d35wiT7k
