Remember our recent post about a cozy, comforting blanket? It belongs to Milagros, who became a mother at 16. During those uncertain times, her best friend gave her a blanket that became a symbol of comfort and protection. “Although I may not have much, I still have this blanket; I always carry it with me, because it has sheltered all of my children in cold moments. And when I want to remember my life in Venezuela, I wrap myself in it,” Milagros recalls. Two years ago, Milagros and her family made the difficult decision to cross the border to #Colombia as the economic and social crisis in #Venezuela got worse. Although life as a migrant has been difficult, Milagros finds strength in her blanket. "No matter where I am, that blanket accompanies me.
