💜 Over the past few weeks, we’ve been following Carrine's story and sharing a simple but powerful truth: it costs our community more to do nothing than to support a program like Amethyst Place. Carrine’s story is one of many. Before coming to Amethyst Place, her journey was filled with challenges that no one should face alone. But thanks to the support of people like you, there’s hope — hope that’s not only transforming lives but also saving money. At Amethyst Place, it costs $42,519 to serve one family for a full year. Here’s what that includes: 🏠 A private, fully furnished apartment (with no max length of stay) where families can reunify and stabilize their lives. 🤝 Individualized coaching for adults and children to support recovery, wellness, and a path out of poverty. ❤️ Family therapy to heal from trauma, improve mental health, and build resilience. The impact is priceless, but the financial savings are clear: we’re saving our community an estimated $150,000 per family per year by reducing costs to foster care, legal, and healthcare systems. It’s hard to think of a better investment. Together, we can make a difference. 💜

These five children are future world-changers. Because our families have vision… 🌳 …for our family trees, committed to planting ones that are less about the past and more about the future we’re intentionally creating… 🤝 …for our relationships, knowing relational health (beginning in the family) is the foundation of care for our physical, mental, and emotional health… 🌅 …for our impact, creating a family culture of interdependence that means, “I serve us, so we can serve others.” That’s what I envisioned as I watched these five dear friends work together to raise a sail along the coast of Maine last week. Because of the work our families are doing together, our children are not coasting aimlessly. Instead, they’re embracing the power of relationships, connection, and collaboration. They’re setting the sails, charting the course, creating the future. Sadly, so many families are coasting, not having the support they need to raise the sail that is a clear and powerful vision - rooted in who you uniquely are, individually and collectively. In the mountains of the Philippines, there are many small villages that are hard to reach. These villages often don't get much help. Let's talk about a group of organizations working together to change this. Ray and Dawn Spoon used to be missionaries, and now they're helping out as volunteers on the island of Mindoro. They're working with FARM STEW, PAMAS, Siloam Valley Institute, and the SULADS to make a difference. Soon, 50 local people will learn about FARM STEW and go out to help these villages live better lives. I got to see what's happening with this partnership. FARM STEW is getting ready to send out kits to help, Siloam Valley is getting ready for the training, PAMAS is busy with their demonstration garden, and the SULAD director is heading out to a remote school to help with some problems. Talking to Dawn Spoon, she explained, "FARM STEW teaches people in these villages how to farm better and live healthier. Merma is one of these villages, where it's really hard to get food. But now, the kids are learning to grow their own vegetables at school, which helps them and their families." PAMAS and SULADS are really important for these villages. PAMAS helps with transport so people and supplies can get there easier, while SULADS starts schools that change lives. It's amazing to see everyone working together. With God's help, these villages are changing, and more people are joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Let's keep these frontline workers in our prayers. God listens when we pray.
