Against the challenges of natural disaster or conflict supplying bulk fluids ashore without jetty or wharf can significantly hamper the efforts of responders on land. In response to this need AMOG have designed a short-term liquids terminal which can be transported to a staging location in ISO intermodal containers and deployed from a landing craft style vessel. AMOG, along with our JV partner Moorsure, have a long track record designing and supporting marine terminals around the globe. This expertise has enabled the development of a simple robust system to allow small tankers or supply vessels to moor safely whilst pumping essential fuel or fresh water ashore via a pipeline laid from that same landing craft. Designed for shallow waters near shore with the capacity, if required, to allow the delivering pipeline to cross reefs or other challenging bathymetry, this rapid deployment terminal ensures that responders on land remain supplied in the weeks and months it may take to access more permanent port infrastructure. 🚢 Strategic Upgrade Alert: Pier No. 2 Hopper Replacement🚢 In 2022 and 2023, we completed a strategic berth dredging to accommodate larger ships, increasing our delivery capacity from 6,300t to 9,500t. Now, in 2024, we are increasing the hopper capacity from 9t to 15t to enable a more consistent flow of material to the discharge point, thus shortening discharge and idle times for ships. This enhancement will allow us to handle larger ships, effectively minimising ship movements and optimising operational efficiency. A key objective of this upgrade is the implementation of key safety improvements, ensuring the longevity and safety of our boatmen, employees, and contractors during inspection and maintenance activities.
