The 'Circular Economy' approach to production, waste reduction and consumption is as necessary as it is transformative, but it is one that can only function effectively when underpinned by trust — trust that the waste products circulating within the economy are safe, trust they are free of hazardous materials and trust that their origins can be traced and certified. It's great to be a part of this stellar lineup to discuss how we can move forward as an industry and provide more room and appetite for circular products, while maintaining compliance and public trust. Looking forward to seeing you there!!

And here it is. The 2nd installment with our dream team. Here we look at how to unlock an inclusive transition of the “other 75%” of assets that can fall through the cracks in our respective markets. Whilst “green” both in terms of taxonomies and rating tools focus on moving the bar higher (necessary)… we need to move everyone, rapidly. Contained in our new paper are some ideas around how to do that, from better taxonomies, suggestions for policies as well as rating tools themselves. We need billions of better buildings… everywhere, not a focus on the top end of the market! I hope you read the paper and engage with it.
New report announcement 🔉 A global alliance of green building organisations today at Greenbuild International Conference & Expo launched a groundbreaking sustainable finance call to action aimed at bringing the vast majority of buildings up to modern sustainability standards. The report, “Building Transition: How to Scale and Finance an Inclusive Transition for the Built Environment,” focuses on the 75% of lower-performing buildings that have not yet adopted green building practices. The initiative, led by the UK’s Building Research Establishment (BRE), the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC), the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and Alliance HQE - GBC France, seeks to close the gap between top performers and the rest of the market.
