November... Gone in a blink of an eye. A month filled with press launches, events and EOY packages. Proud of the team and the work(load) we have done together. 1. We try to downsize the amount of press events we organize. Not because we don't like them, but because we see great added value in fewer but better. For Signify we organised a delightful evening with Philips Hue and WiZ Lighting. What made it such a success? A beautiful brand story and products, a unique location, local & trendy food and drinks & a special performance to end the evening and to showcase the endless possibilities of smart lighting. 2. Welcoming Dreamfarm foods to the agency! In the midst of delivering delicious press packages to Belgian foodies due to their newest member: A vegan herb spread. Perfect for lunch, apero or as a taste enhancer. We always try to add a local touch, this time working with Bakkerij Funk and their delicious sourdough bread. 3. Proud of our lifelong friends Angelique Foré & Barbara De Beir and yet again an amazing get together during the WOW! Money Talks conference. Ann Ramaekers was asked to share her two cents on investing in real estate, art and .. people! 4. Q4 is a busy press month because the end of year-period is important for the majority of brands. That's why we try to find relevant press hooks to talk about our clients. One of our favourites? 4 remedies to conquer the winter blues. Curious? https://lnkd.in/eKpSrWdi Let's kick this last month of the year! Ann Ramaekers Dakota Deforce

🚦The Yellow Light Has Turned Green🚦 First off, this isn’t a political post in any means, but it’s more of a warning on what we can most likely expect as we continue to move forward with #liveevents. Yesterday‘s flare up with the Dow Jones is a clear sign that we are going to continue to see demand in the meetings and events industry but you also need to be mindful of several other factors that we will mostly like face. ✔️ Market Compression If you aren’t aware of the term, this #hotellingo refers to the amount of demand in a specific area. With healthy financial markets, also comes this type of compression which equates to limited availability and higher rate structures. ✔️ Inflated Pricing This isn’t a political move, this is a business move. The healthier the market, there is a notion that there is more money to play with… and that simply isn’t always the case. As demand rises, we will continue to see pricing increase. ✔️ Civil Unrest Not everyone will always agree and with that be mindful of the destinations that you are exploring. Civil unrest can happen anywhere but take the time to understand if it does happen, how will it impact your program and attendees. In close, keep in mind a healthy conversation can certainly help with finding a middle ground on pricing. Utilizing a trusted meeting planning agency to identify availability is never a bad idea. A little extra pre-planning to overcome an unexpected obstacle like civil unrest should always be in the playbook. The beef at the market!!! Let me just come clean😀 I had a Church meeting today and afterwards decided to do a quick stop at the market to buy some beef 🥩 Oh yes! The plan was to cook ‘Egusi soup’ and this particular delicacy won’t go right without some beef in it. Well, long story short… The beef’s price was beefy. I should actually say extremely beefy. After touring about 3 beef spots, I eventually settled for the most reasonable bargain that produced 7 mini-sized pieces for… take a guess😀 This just made me wonder… The Price Hike: Yet People are Still Buying! Why? It’s simple: VALUE Most of these traders typically do not run any ads, no social media, no fancy strategies. They just show up at their spots and sheds every day, and people flock to buy. Customers will travel miles to get what they need, especially in the middle of rising prices, people are still buying. These traders are selling what everyone needs to survive. No marketing campaigns or complex strategies, just consistent value. And because when you offer something people truly need, they’ll always come. That’s the lesson for every business out there. Build your brand, product, or service around genuine value, and no matter the economy, people will stick around.🤷♀️ Value is what makes a business timeless, even when times get tough. Happy Weekend🎉🎊 ©️ Josephine Afolayan, ANIPR - JLA. #31dayslinkedinchallenge #linkedinchallengewithmaryikudehin #TCAlagoschapter #31DaysLinkedInChallenge #linkedingrowthchallenge #consistency #perseverance #keepgoing

Madhive President, Jim Wilson, shared his number one trend that advertisers are sleeping on: "Ultimately, local advertising is about driving outcomes—whether it's getting someone to a car dealership, the gym, or a store. And now all brands, including national, have the opportunity to reach audiences in any geo at scale, with creative that's relevant to them." 🔥 Read more about the hottest adtech trends here: https://hubs.li/Q02V7R740

I’ve learned one thing the hard way : never waste a good crisis. When everything’s falling apart, that’s when you find out what you’re really made of. Look at Absolut Vodka. They came out with this strange-looking bottle, and it bombed because people were used to the usual whiskey shape. Most companies would’ve scrapped it, but not them. They stuck with it, made that bottle their whole thing, and now it’s what they’re known for. And then COVID? It was hell, no doubt. But for some, it was also a wake-up call. People learned new skills, and businesses jumped online fast - not just to survive, but to win. The pandemic was rough, but for those who grabbed the moment, it changed everything. When a crisis knocks you down to zero, you’ve got nothing left to lose. And that’s when even the smallest steps forward feel huge. The secret is to lean into the mess, get creative, and keep moving. That’s how you turn a bad situation into something that works for you. About the picture: When life's on fire, but your goals are still paws-itive :P #crisis #oppurtunity #life

🌀 One week ago - Friday the 13th: The Perfect Day for a Little Chaos 🌀 They say Friday the 13th is unlucky, but for us, it was unforgettable. Threads of Tomorrow by Factian wasn’t just another event — it was a lesson in patience, improvisation, and ultimately, the power of pulling it all together. Because, let’s be honest, nothing ever goes 100% to plan. 🍕 The Pizza That Almost Wasn’t — If you’ve ever promised guests “free pizza,” you’ll know the stress of watching the clock tick while hungry faces stare back. Spoiler: It arrived (eventually), and somehow, it tasted better after the wait. 🎤 “Is This Mic On?” — Sound checks don’t care about schedules. We adapted, adjusted, and kept the energy high as speakers like Antonia Barath (The Hook Model Management), Nick Reed (Neem London) and Noemie Jouas shared stories that left us inspired. 🕰️ Running Late, But Nobody Cared — Timetables are nice in theory. In reality, conversations ran over, connections deepened, and nobody complained about “being behind schedule.” Sometimes, you just have to let it flow. But despite the little hiccups, something magical happened: ✨ People connected. ✨ Ideas were shared. ✨ New perspectives on sustainable fashion took root. By the time the music started and the drinks flowed, it wasn’t just an event anymore — it was a community in motion. To everyone who joined, spoke, ate (eventually), and danced with us — thank you. It wasn’t “perfect,” but it was real. And that’s exactly how it was meant to be. A special thank you to JNCK Bakery for being the sweet surprise that saved the day for hungry guests 🍪 Shoutout to Living Things Soda — your probiotic drink was a true lifesaver the next day. After one too many drinks, this gut-friendly refresher felt like self-care in a can. 💆♂️ #Event #SustainableFashion #SharedKnowledge #FridayThe13th #LessonsInAdaptation #GrowingEntrepreneurship
