Managing Composites’ Post

📢Best of of the year 📢   As 2024 wraps up, let's keep with the posts that resonated the most this year.   Here’s a look at Aprils’s standout post and it’s stats👇   🔺Likes: 743 🔺Comments: 15 🔺Reshares: 53   📢And the Winner Is...📢 Hill Helicopters! 🥇 🚁 Our winners of the week are on a mission to build the world's first truly private helicopter, engineered for flight, designed for owners! 👀 For that, they took the bold decision to make the main composites structure of the HX50 in a single piece: A monolithic #carbonfiber crash cell, beautifully styled and aerodynamically sculpted, that gives them the balance of performance, strength and cost effectiveness! 😍 The company has been able to demonstrate that their approach to making a monolarge in a single piece not only works, but is remarkably cost-effective. 😎 Watch how they've done it in this awesome video! 🤪

Excellent example of #vacuuminfusion pushed outside the box of conventional thinking, very commendable job! The volume is low so impact of cost not the main focus likely. However the sealing of the multiple flanges with butyl tape (tacky tape ) is one issue to deal with between cycles, as well all the wasted consumables of bagging film and related inputs. Today, multiple piece tooling with intersecting flanges can be made without the consumables having multiple intersecting flanges that seal vacuum tight instantly which come apart having clean reusable seals. The nominal bagging is done with a reusable silicone membrane. The method I am speaking of is #SRTM. The simple method to produce #composites today. The simplicity, repeatability and quality fill the need of today's #FRP Molder's needs in unpresidented comparision. One point, while SRTM has proven to be a dream come true for today's molders it is limited to polyester or vinyl ester resins regardless of the #DCPD contented, yet Epoxy curing amines are not compatable with the reusable silicone membrane.

Make a one piece whole structure like that is a really great thing if it can be done, even great if it has the same level of strength as the conventionally made ones. Intresting Indeed

Very cool. We recently did a project where we figured out how to make a multi part mold completely seal so that you can infuse as one assembly instead of secondary bonding these parts together. This would be the perfect application.

Managing Composites Very good job! #vacuuminfusion is a very versatile technology and technicians that really know it, can do whatever!

Parabéns pelas postagens feitas por vocês, obviamente cada um tem uma área específica; a minha principalmente é a área de composite material e fico muito grato pelas postagens e informações. Que 2025 venha cheio de informações. Obrigado. Sucesso sempre.
