🚗 The automotive industry is one of the largest users of Natural Fiber Composites (NFC). However, these materials are typically used for vehicle interiors, while composites used for bodywork are normally synthetic fiber composites.    Bcomp Ltd. demonstrates in this video that it is also possible to make high performance bodywork parts with Natural Fibre Composites such as those manufactured for this Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR, in which Bcomp claims to have achieved the same weight and stiffness as a thin-walled monolithic carbon fiber layup while reducing the CO2 footprint from cradle to gate by up to 85%.
