𝐂𝐀𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭: 𝟒𝟎𝟓 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐶𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑆𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑦 - 𝐵𝑜𝑡ℎ 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝑓𝑎𝑢𝑙𝑡 IIM Calcutta has released the final answer key for CAT 2024 after reviewing 405 objections received across three sections and three shifts. Shockingly, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 has been accepted. While it is easy to blame the system, I believe the fault lies with both parties—students and the IIMs. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 & 𝐌𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 👉𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Instead of working in unity, students raised multiple objections (405!) for similar questions. This not only wastes time but also makes the process ineffective. 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Students 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 collectively. Form groups, pool resources, and submit a consolidated objection for one question, one objection. This will ensure clarity and increase impact. 👉𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐈𝐌𝐬: If an objection is already raised for a question, why is the system accepting repeated objections? This feels like an unnecessary way to generate revenue. 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: IIMs should implement a "𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" mechanism. If a question is challenged, it should be 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 on the portal, along with the decision. This will ensure transparency and discourage redundant objections. 👉𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞: When objections are raised, IIMs should form an expert panel to examine whether the claims are valid or not. If a question is faulty, students deserve fairness, and answers should be re-evaluated. 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: If you want real change, don't act individually. 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, and ensure every campaign or objection is raised collectively. This is not just about CAT 2024—it is about building a fairer, more transparent system for future aspirants. 𝐈𝐈𝐌𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫: Their role is not just to conduct an exam but to ensure justice and fairness in evaluation. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞. #CAT2024 #IIMCalcutta #CATExam #MBAAspirants #StudentVoice #TransparencyInExams #OneQuestionOneObjection #FairnessInCAT #MBACommunity #EducationReforms #UniteForChange

Congratulations and a warm welcome to all those embarking on their B-school journey this year! Kudos to all the hard work you've put in to reach this milestone. Reflecting on my first year, I’d like to share how an MBA has profoundly impacted my life and the unique role IIM played in that journey. 📚 A Year Full of Surprises and Challenges 📚 My first year at IIM was a whirlwind of surprises, hurdles, parties, assignments, projects, presentations, exams, all-nighters, case competitions, business talks, event participation and what not. They say B-school never sleeps—how true that is! If you’re expecting a full sleep schedule, think again. While some exceptional minds manage it, I was definitely not one of them. MBA is a fast-paced journey that constantly presents new challenges. Here are some of the big learnings I gained: 🔹 Build Good Rapport with Seniors: They can offer invaluable guidance and support. 🔹 Participate in Case Competitions: These are great opportunities for practical learning and networking. 🔹 Adapt to Both Academics and Co-curriculars: Balance is key in navigating the demands of B-school. 🔹 Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: MBA pushes you to grow and groom yourself for the professional world. 🔹 Be Mindful of Your Relationships: Understand the difference between acquaintances, classmates, and friends. B-school is highly competitive, and while competition is healthy, it’s important to maintain a positive attitude and celebrate others' successes. 🎉 Enjoy the Journey 🎉 Lastly, party hard and enjoy every moment. For many, this is the last hostel life experience, so make the most of it! Wishing all the new B-school entrants an incredible journey ahead. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the wins, and make lifelong memories. #MBA #BschoolLife #IIM #StudentExperience #LifeAtIIM #BschoolJourney #CareerGrowth #Networking #MBAExperience #FutureLeaders

It's been a while... CAT 2023 results and final shortlists of all B-schools are out. LinkedIn nowadays is flooded with motivation for students who didn't get into their dream B-school. On the other hand people who made it to their dream colleges are sharing their final converts, writing gratitude posts, helping CAT 2024 aspirants, thanking universe and what not! I'm on neither side of the boat then why I'm sharing this? Because I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm preparing for CAT 2024 and the amount of support and guidance I've got from these people is insane. I'm not not talking about those 1:1 paid counselling but those free chats on LinkedIn. CAT related doubts, strategies, B-schools converting criteria, CVs and so on and so forth. They have been with me and with thousands of aspirants like me giving their invaluable support and guidance. By the start of 2025, I wish to be on the latter side of the boat. Can't wait to benefit others from what I've been benefited and even reciprocate it ten times to aspirants like me. I don't know what good things God has planned for me but this hunger of getting into an IIM doesn't seem to be of short race. May it continues to ache, burn and haunt me till the day I get my dream B-school. Let's see what good things are waiting!
