Orlando airport closes in on first direct flight to Asia "The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and Osceola County signed a partnership agreement with Incheon International Airport that lays the groundwork for direct service between Orlando and Incheon, South Korea. The respective parties are working to finalize details of the flight, including the airline and when service will start." I certainly can't say that more direct service is bad news for Orlando. I am however quite surprised by the first destination. I would have expected a more-tourism focused route to come first. I wish the local news articles had more information about this. I am not sure where the numbers are from, but see the One Mile at a Time Link - they report 150,000 passengers annually to Orlando from North Asia and 350,000 passengers annually to Florida and the route could have a strong business demand. Again, I will never say no. But it is an odd announcement that seems lacking in facts / backing. Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) This is such marvellous news for #Victoria’s #visitoreconomy…. From December this year, Delta Air Lines will deliver 86,000 new seats connecting #MEL and #LAX with much-needed direct services. This is the first deal under the Visit Victoria Industry Partnership Progam (VVIPP) and is a result of Visit Victoria engaging with the team at Melbourne Airport to make this happen. The USA is our fourth largest market with over 200k American visitors spending more than $358 million in our economy. Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) is proud to have worked so closely with the Victorian Government in securing the $7 million cooperative investment fund under the state’s recently launched ECONOMIC GROWTH STRATEGY, which will help to support more initiatives like this to promote our destination. Effective Industry and Government collaboration is the best ingredient for success in looking to take #Victoria to the world. Great to see a CEO walking the CX walk – engaging directly with customers, actively inviting them to give him feedback on a one-to-one basis and experiencing the reality of what his customers experience. Here is Alexis von Hoensbroech of WestJet doing exactly that. The incremental cost of it; pretty much zero. The impact on colleagues, customers and the brand; priceless. Creating the right stories and memories; done. Thank you Melanie Coulson for sharing it. For colleagues, customers and investors, having visibility of the leadership team’s commitment to creating a stronger business through better experiences is critical in nurturing a genuine customer-centric culture. If a CEO and/or members of the leadership team are reluctant to engage with their customers in this way it’s most likely a sign that, ironically, this is exactly what they should be doing.

Delta Air Lines effectively utilizes its Boeing 757 fleet to connect the United States with various international destinations, particularly throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. From its primary hub at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), Delta operates numerous 757 flights to cities such as San José, Costa Rica (SJO), and Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR). Additionally, Delta serves destinations like Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA), and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ), from ATL. Beyond Atlanta, Delta’s Boeing 757s also serve international routes from New York’s JFK Airport and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). For instance, Delta operates flights from JFK to Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten (SXM). Similarly, the LAX to MEX route is frequently served by the 757. These operations highlight the versatility of Delta’s 757 fleet in efficiently serving high-demand international markets.

Austrian Airlines expands its 2025 summer flight schedule. There are currently 105 destinations with up to 1,374 flights per week available on short and medium-haul routes, and up to 108 flights per week to 18 different destinations on long-haul routes. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dB22Bs9K
