𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿? #JusticeForStudents With over 24 lakh students taking the NEET exam this year, several issues are raising eyebrows. Suspiciously high scores of 718-719 out of 720 have emerged, despite the NTA's questionable "normalization" explanation. The fairness of the exam is further called into question with 67 perfect scores, 8 of which are from the same center. Rankings based on application numbers raise concerns about favoritism, making it difficult for even top scorers to secure seats at AIIMS Delhi. Moreover, allegations of a paper leak, brought before the Supreme Court, add to the controversy, especially with the early release of results. Additionally, the disparity between marks and rankings has left many students, scoring as high as 650, with ranks above 30,000, shutting them out of government MBBS colleges. (What the hell is going on🫥) As the NEET exam continues to be a critical gateway for aspiring medical students in India, it is disheartening to witness the persistent issues under the current administration. The recent NEET paper leak is a glaring reminder of the systemic flaws in our examination process. Many students and parents have expressed frustration over the lack of transparency and consistency in the examination process. The National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Education Ministry must take full responsibility for this breach and implement stringent measures to prevent future occurrences. It's disheartening to see the hard work and dedication of countless students undermined by such incidents. Our future doctors deserve a reliable system that supports their hard work and aspirations. Pov : Currently the whole appeared neet candidates to NTA. Isn't it so disheartening on the part of those aspirants who've wholeheartedly made their attempt this year? All that hardwork, commitment towards the preparation, sleepless nights just to know that they will end up nowhere?! Lers talk facts now; 📍 67 scored the perfect 720/720 where 6 students were from specific centres( in haryana) which is impossible, and quite unrealistic to believe. ~ And this has happened for the first time in the history of neet results. ~ What does this all indicate, especially such major numbers, shows how much transparency was there. 📍Never in the history of neet, any candidate got 718, and 719 respectively with AIR 68 and 69, which isn't possible according to the marking scheme. 📍All of a sudden, re- opening of the online registration for 2 days in 9th April, due to said "stakeholder requests". ~ Just think about it, why? 📍Now let's make it more evident, In a centre in Rajasthan, students reported that the Centre gave them the question paper with "pre- marked" answer and then took it back. ~ What does it shows? ~ Those question papers were for whom?! What saddens me most is; 🍂 Students who've put their heart and soul into the preparation were cheated. 🍂 The parents who were hoping and praying to see their child to grab that one seat in a medical College. 🍂 The education system, the lack of transparency, security, and carelessness of exam conducting autonomous bodies in the country. Let's hope those hardworking students get some good news soon! As a teacher and a citizen of India, I am deeply concerned about the recent NEET UG 2024 examination issues (read it scam). While a few candidates have managed to secure a re-exam due to time loss, many who scored above 600 and did not file a court case are left in a precarious position, potentially missing out on their dream of attending government medical college. This is a troubling situation that highlights the broader issue of fairness in our examination system. It is disheartening that the NTA, responsible for conducting this crucial exam, failed to maintain its integrity, leading to widespread allegations of paper leaks. Even more concerning is the denial by the education minister of any such leaks, despite an FIR being lodged at Patna's Shastri Nagar Police Station on the exam day. What is happening with NEET UG results?! For context, the exam is out of 720 marks, with +4 for every correct answer and -1 for every incorrect one! In an unprecedented event, 67 students have achieved a perfect score! However, what's truly astonishing is that students are also receiving scores of 718 and 719 marks. This is because the National Testing Agency (NTA) has granted certain students grace marks (I have never heard of students getting grace marks ever before). The most intriguing aspect of all this is that last year, the open merit seat in AIIMS-Delhi (India's most desired medical college) closed at rank 57. Addressing Critical Issues in India's Education System I've wanted to express this for a long time but have held back for various reasons. However, it's crucial to address these issues as they significantly impact students' lives and the future of our nation. Infrastructure Challenges with NEET Exams Due to mistakes by the NTA, India lacks sufficient infrastructure to conduct NEET exams properly. The shortage of government colleges forces students to seek admission in private institutions, which charge exorbitant fees. For example, private colleges demand a minimum of 60 lakhs for an MBBS degree, with some charging up to 1 or 2 crores. Such costs are unaffordable for middle-class families. The government urgently needs to address this issue. The Pressure Cooker Environment of Kota Kota, known for its coaching centers, has become a hub of stress and pressure, leading to student suicides. This environment has become detrimental for students, and the government must take action to protect young lives. **The NEET Scam and the Need for Transparency** The recent NEET scam raises questions about the steps the government will take next to ensure fair and transparent processes. It's time for the government to focus on these critical issues and take immediate action to safeguard students' futures. **Call to Action** The government needs to increase the number of government colleges, ensure fair conduct of exams, and create a supportive environment for students. In the past 24 hours, 3 NEET UG aspirants have tragically taken their own lives, and more students might be feeling similarly distressed. What's going on? The NEET UG results were released on June 4th. 67 students achieved a perfect score of 720/720. Among them, 6 students from Haryana have consecutive seat numbers. 8 students came from the same exam center. For some background: In 2021, 3 students scored 720/720 in NEET. In 2022, no students achieved a perfect score. In 2023, 2 students scored 720/720. How is this possible? There could be malpractice involved! Imagine scoring 670/720 and still not securing admission to a good college. The NTA was supposed to announce the results on June 14th but unexpectedly did so on June 4th, coinciding with election results. This timing seems like a diversion tactic. Paper leaks in Bihar and Gujarat and arbitrary grace marks in the NEET-UG medical exam have spurred nationwide protests. ......................................................... Folks, let's shift our focus away from election results now, shall we? The best career options after 12th, without any doubt, are Medical(NEET) and Engineering(JEE). When I passed my intermediate exams, getting into an IIT seemed much more difficult than getting into AIIMS. Today, the NEET 2024 results are out & it's a hell of a competition. Surely, NEET is now the most difficult exam, overtaking JEE by a wide margin for a class 12th pass-out student. These historic cutoffs also hints on paper mismanagement by NTA. They should be held accountable for playing with futures of lakhs of honest aspirants. NEET results were all of sudden declared today instead of pre- decided date of 14th June by NTA, when people are busy in election results.
