There are 2 maps I have been sketching since I was in elementary school. This is one of them. The feelings this image fuels is more than can be explained, sometimes one word will do what a thousand can't. Contours recognizable even from out of space, no wander so many songs have been inspired by it. Songs of hope and endurance, rhythm and being. As I work on my writing, being able to write a song myself is truly an honor. https://lnkd.in/geSYAHsG Also, some of my favorite games (strategy) helped inspire the concept of the art. #ageofempires #ageofmythology #digitalpainting #environmentpainting

Artists have sought new avenues of expression through innovative drawing styles that challenge traditional boundaries. One such style, adapting Automatic Drawing as a basis, presents with a unique Automatic writing, attempts to shine a new light upon this century-old Surrealist concept. This artistic approach melds dynamic lines and shapes in a vibrant palette of red, black, and gold, while also integrating Asemic writing based on the Asiatic script. The Creative Process The creation of these diptychs unfolds in two distinct stages. Initially, the artist engages in a spontaneous, intuitive process of laying down calligraphic flourish lines. This automatic drawing allows for a free flow of creativity, capturing the subconscious and embodying emotions and thoughts without preconceived limitations. The movement of the hand is unrestrained, yet with an assimilated mastery, creating a visual language that speaks to the viewer’s instinct rather than rational understanding. Following this initial outpouring, the second stage employs cognitive deduction. Here, the artist meticulously applies color to selected shapes, enhancing the composition’s balance and movement... faithfully following the preliminary lines. The message surfaces and reflect the artist's thought of the moment, some are revelations while others are still awaiting to be deciphered. https://lnkd.in/gdG_QcBd

How did I get here? I took a leap of faith because I wasn't sure I could do it. I failed art class in high school, and have no formal artistic education. But, I decided to try again on my own terms a few years ago and had no expectation of what I was doing. I started with dollar store material, and graduated to better paint and canvas' over time. I also documented everything I made on YouTube, which was something I knew nothing about. I was learning skills that in hindsight I had no intention of ever knowing how to do. But, I took a leap of faith and decided to try everything. A new skill in art, becoming a YouTube creator, having my own website, and growing an audience while learning it all. And here we are- a successful YouTube channel, attending markets to sell my work, my own website, my art displayed throughout the city, and an online presence that allows me to keep painting. So, looking back on the time it took to get here, I had to jump into uncomfortable situations, but grew in so many ways. If you want to try a new skill, learn a hobby you haven't tried before, become better at something you never knew you could do, you just need to do it. I'm so glad I tried painting when I did, because it has opened up so many opportunities I didn't know I could have. If you are on the fence about that new thing you're afraid to try, I say just do it. You may just find out is that it was something you were born to do. #acrylicpouring #fluidart #acrylicpainting #youtube #leapoffaith #tonysfluidart https://lnkd.in/eZSrarU4

Over the last decade, I've developed a metacognitive artistic process, crafting digital mind files documenting my journey. This digital one-man show displays a puzzle of the iconography of my existence. With each new iteration of digital graffiti, I create, I catalog and rebuild my mind from the shattered pieces of a deprecated code, remnants left from the shadows of a previous existence. As the specter of old age looms, gradually casting its shadow over the present moment, the pursuit becomes imperative and centers on crafting a process that keeps the mind immersed in a symphony of thought and creation. This goal extends beyond the realm of artists; it is a universal aspiration for every human navigating the journey through the later years of life. Whether through the medium of diaries or the engagement in puzzle games, we all embark on a personalized buffet of processes, all converging toward the common outcome: maintaining a conducive fluidity of the mind as we gracefully enter our senior years. Throughout the passage of decades, I have intricately woven together the threads of my origin tale and life's trajectory, fashioning a digital puzzle that embodies the iconography of my unique journey. With each passing day, I embark on a profound exploration, meticulously rearranging the fragments of my digital mind and experiences, sculpting them into new compositions that serve as an ever-evolving exhibition of my innermost thoughts and reflections—a vivid portrayal of my life's odyssey. It is a cacophony of music, prose, and storytelling that reimagines my life’s journey in digital storyboards. The panels and videos I present encapsulate the world of artistry that has consumed my life. Through original content and curated pieces From the gristmill of our shared experiences, my storyboards represent my character and creativity as a creator and also are a cognitive dance of healing for my mind as the years keep marching towards the final curtain call. Welcome to MY MIND. I create memories that define my legacy as we dance together as a species on the precipice of THE LAST ZEITGEIST. https://lnkd.in/eKZsda7C #storyteller #DETROIT #rants #comedian #ridingandranting #detroitriverwalk #truth #yourtruth
