2024: The Year That Changed Everything As I look back on 2024, I can confidently say it was the best year of my life—not because it was easy, but because it was transformative. This year was filled with mistakes, lessons, and small victories that shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. For the first time, I moved to a completely new city, leaving behind everything familiar. I joined a new company, where I’ve learned so much—not just about work, but about people. 2024 showed me the real corporate world. I used to believe you could be friends with your colleagues, but this year proved me wrong. Your boss isn’t your buddy, and not everyone around you has good intentions. The biggest lesson? Nothing is permanent. Jobs, clients, even people—they’re replaceable. The only things you truly own are your skills and knowledge. This realization came through some tough moments, like facing financial struggles and making mistakes at work. But those failures taught me resilience and how to challenge myself. Despite the lows, there were incredible highs. I completed my 30-day writing challenge, pushed myself out of my comfort zone, and met amazing people. Strangers in this new city became friends, and some even taught me life lessons I’ll carry forever. One time, a rickshaw driver gave me a free ride because I didn’t have cash—small moments like these reminded me of the kindness in the world. 2024 wasn’t perfect, but it was mine. I’m grateful for every challenge, every win, and every lesson. As 2025 begins, I’m ready for new adventures, more opportunities, and even more mistakes to learn from. After a break pursuing UPSC, I made my comeback to the IT industry by joining 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 Pay, and I can’t express how much this opportunity means to me. The road back wasn’t easy, but it was full of learning. From moving to a new city for a new job and living away from family to up-skilling myself in DSA and system design, I learned the importance of persistence and continuous learning. It was not just about technical skills, but also developing my soft and communication skills. At the start of the year, I wrapped up my Industrial Training, a pivotal chapter that prepared me for what was to come. I stepped into my final year in school with so much excitement and anticipation. The joy of becoming a Final Year Bachelor (FYB) student was overwhelming—truly a milestone. That period was a reminder that everything that has a beginning also has an end. It was amazing creating unforgettable memories with friends and building lifelong bonds. But, as we all know, goodbyes can be tough. Saying goodbye to a chapter of life you’ve cherished is never easy, but I’ve come to realize that every ending marks the beginning of something new. 2024 truly stretched me beyond my imagination. I explored new hobbies, discovered more about myself, and faced challenges that forced me to grow in ways I didn’t expect. While I’m still figuring some things out, I’m grateful for how far I’ve come. I’m proud to have made it to this point. But this is just the beginning. 2025, get ready! I’m stepping into the new year with confidence, purpose, and a clear vision.
