Here is a video of the aperiodic monotiles being rendered line by line using a timerSOP in Touch Designer. Quote "An aperiodic monotile, sometimes called an "einstein", is a shape that tiles the plane, but never periodically. " https://lnkd.in/gd_xqHGb

Contrast - Part I Diamond contrast is the light and dark patterns seen when observing a faceted diamond. Humans are sensitive to the amount and distribution of contrast on a diamond. There are two types of obscuration induced contrast - primary and secondary. • Primary contrast is the face up, stationary view and therefore static in nature. • Secondary contrast is the light and dark pattern which can be observed as the stone moves (tilted) and is therefore dynamic in nature. In fancy shapes, such as diamonds designed by GemConcepts, the contrast produced by obscuration is unique to each cut. Each diamond will possess and display its designated play-of-light orchestra according to its initial optical design specifics. Usually to fit a certain jeweled design and consistent appearance. With expertise in contrast distribution, our diamonds designs create positive contrast which enhance brilliance, fire, and scintillation as the diamond moves. In this example, we have designed a Cushion Cut diamond that visually enhances its optical Maltese cross when looked upon face-up, but catches light with the slightest tilt designed at 7°. continued in Part II #gemconcepts #cushionbrilliant #designingdiamonds #playoflight #lightorchestra #contrast #lightreflection #lightcontrol #craftsmanship #cuttingdiamonds #lapidaries

To achieve a Piano Black Lacquer finish: Preparation Surface Preparation: Start by thoroughly sanding the surface until it is smooth and free of imperfections. Application Process Base Coat: Apply black paint in thin, even coats. Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next. Sanding Between Coats: After each coat dries, lightly sand the surface to ensure smoothness and remove any dust or imperfections. Clear Coat Application High Gloss Clear Coat: Apply multiple thin coats of high gloss clear coat. Ensure each coat dries completely before the next application. Final Polishing Buffing and Polishing: Once all coats are applied and fully dry, buff the surface with a polishing compound to achieve a high shine. Multiple buffing and polishing runs may be necessary. Curing: Allow the finish to fully cure before handling, which may take several weeks. Advanced Technique for Pianos For a piano-quality finish: Polyester Coating: Apply up to six layers of polyester coating to all wooden surfaces. This thick layer allows for extensive sanding, buffing, and polishing. Drying Time: Allow up to three weeks for a one-millimetre-thick layer of paint to dry thoroughly. Sanding and Polishing: The surface is typically sanded down and polished multiple times. Around four sanding and seven polishing runs are standard to achieve an even, glossy, mirror finish. Final Finish: The process is repeated until the desired depth, shine, and mirror-like finish are achieved. This meticulous approach ensures the highest quality finish, resembling the deep, reflective gloss commonly seen on grand pianos.#OEMSupplier #OEMFactory #WoodenBox #LoudspeakerCabinets #PianoFinish #AVFunitires #SoundSystems #DolbyAtmos #ProAudio #Subwoofers #BluetoothSpeakers #HomeTheatre #WirelessSpeaker #ImmersiveExperience #ImmersiveAudio #ContractManufacturing #RecordingStudios #Mixing #StudioMonitors #SoundEngineering #SoundEngineer #Architecture #THX #HiFiAudio #HighEndAudio

The millennia-old art of glassmaking utilizes a wide range of tools, some well-known and others less so, depending on the techniques employed. Among these, the “supieto”, also known as “supietto”, stands out as an essential traditional instrument in the world of Murano glassmaking. The “supieto” is designed to improve the uniformity of the glass thickness while also allowing for the creation of desired shapes. By blowing into this tool, the master glassmaker can expand the glass, resulting in more complex and detailed designs. The supieto design consists of a metal rod with a longitudinally perforated cross-section that ends in a cone. This configuration is specifically designed to allow for the application of pressure and the control of glass thickness, ensuring precision and versatility throughout the creative process. To summarize, the "supieto" is an important tool in the Murano glassmaking tradition. It enables master glassmakers to create unique, complex, and high-quality objects by skillfully combining tradition and artisanal expertise.
