These principles need to be taken into account when Sri Lanka-based carbon credit projects are developed for VCMS in the future. Carbon credits are traded as over-the-counter as well as exchange-traded transactions. Voluntary Market Carbon Credits are treated as tradable commodities and also form the underlying assets in listed Derivative contracts. There are applicable regulations of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission that need to be considered.

🌐𝗖𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 Cbonds is pleased to share our comprehensive overview of the Brazil Bond Market. Both the local and international bond markets in Brazil are predominantly represented by government issues. 🏢𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 Among the industries in the corporate sector of the local market, energy, leasing companies, utilities, and financial companies stand out. 🌎𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 Among corporate international bonds in Brazil, oil and gas production, the banking sector, metal mining, and the chemical industry prevail. 💹𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 The volumes of the corporate local and international bond markets in Brazil are comparable but exhibit different dynamics. The local corporate market has predominantly grown over the past few years, while the international bond market has predominantly declined. 💰𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 A feature of the local debt market is its tendency to issue inflation-protected instruments. 69% of the volume is issued in the form of bonds with a floating rate, and another 28% in the form of bonds with nominal indexation. Only 3% are bonds with a fixed coupon rate. 📉𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹 Brazil was one of the first countries in the region to begin a monetary tightening cycle in 2021, which helped to quickly suppress the surge in inflation later in 2022. Monetary policy has been weakening since mid-2023. 📈𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹'𝘀 𝗖𝗗𝗦 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 Brazil's CDS has shown slight growth over the past few months after a long period of decline but is still below 2021 levels. #Cbonds #Bonds #CorporateBonds #Inflation #CDS #Brazil #fixedincome #bondmarket

If you want a one stop shop for all Uzbek-related bond market news, then IFR is what you are after. The country, its sovereign credit, local banks and corporates are the focus of much attention right now. Issuance from the country is rising rapidly and is expected to grow through into next year. On October 14, we reported that the state-owned oil and gas Uzbekneftegaz was meeting with lenders on a non-deal roadshow, having spoken to a number of sources involved in the process. This reporting came a full week before the company posted a press release that flagged that the meeting occurred. On top of that, we’ve got in depth coverage of all the new issues as they come to market and follow the bond and credit performance afterwards. Whether it’s the sovereign, local lenders like Agrobank or corporates, such as gold miner NMMC or Uzbekneftegaz, that you’re into, we have it all. Today: U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Approves Final Guidance Regarding the Listing of Voluntary Carbon Credit Derivative Contracts https://lnkd.in/erW3tV_y "The CFTC’s guidance recognizes that outlining factors for a DCM to consider in connection with the contract design and listing process may help to advance the standardization of voluntary carbon credit derivative contracts in a manner that fosters transparency and liquidity. The guidance reflects insight the CFTC gained from public comment on the proposed guidance and marks the culmination of over five years of collaboration with a diverse group of market participants. These include agricultural stakeholders, ranchers, foresters, landowners, commercial end users, energy market stakeholders, emission-trading focused entities, CFTC-registered exchanges and clearinghouses, carbon-credit rating agencies, crediting programs, public interest groups, academics, and others key stakeholders in the voluntary carbon market."
