I strongly agree, sir. AI can never replace the human mind and emotions. A medical writer is not only responsible for collating and interpreting information but also for applying their intellect and personal experience when writing, as the end users (e.g., healthcare professionals and patients) are extremely important. It is natural for the human mind to become fatigued while reading and summarising a complex information. This is where AI can serve as a friend 😉 to ease the task, but it cannot replace the originality and the human mind.

I strongly agree with your perspective. Chat GPT or AI must be considered as an aid, but it definitely can't replace humans. Medical writers must learn how to embrace the technology to ease and optimize their work.

ChatGPT and AI are getting updated day by day, and the new job role of Promt engineer is arising just to ask a specific question to ChatGPT for an appropriate response, I agree that AI and ChatGPT can't replace professionals in the field of medical writing but the future expectations from the medical writers are going to change

Yes, to echo most of the comments above, medical writers are so much more than just 'writing'. While AI can and will help medical writers speed up mundane tasks, generate initial summaries of complex data, and check for accuracy etc, it can't replicate writers' ability to consider unique project nuances, communicate with project teams, or call upon years of medical writing experience

Let's not be overjoyed if AI misses human nuances. You never know what tech could do, like cave men probably never imagined reaching the moon. 5-10 years down the lane, using AI for literature search, core writing, and scientific review with efficient prompt engineering may become an *essential* skill for medical writers. Let's face it. The job role may greatly diversify.

The current level of AI ofcourse not.Future development is yet to be known. However, it will be a mistake who thinks an assistant as a decision maker. It's still a paid assistant who is bound to say...Yes you are right, sorry for the oversight. It will be interesting to see how it is evolving in future. Co habitation in an ecosystem will be the right way to define it.

I completely agree with your point, sir. AI should enhance professionals' work. While it can help optimize tasks and improve efficiency, it will never replace their expertise and skills.

Strongly agree with your post. AI cannot replace medical writer role because medical writing is a complex field that's based on research analysis and creativity that can solve patients problems and to reach out to the targeted HCIPs And yes no doubt that AI can ease and Optimise the work but can't rely on it.
